Today's the day! Injuries f***ing suck. That's all I'm going to say. How bad? Disaster bad or something that could be more fun with a partner pulled out of a hat?

Today's the day! Injuries f***ing suck. That's all I'm going to say. How bad? Disaster bad or something that could be more fun with a partner pulled out of a hat? Not a disaster but not necessarily more fun either. it may not even come into play that's why I didn't want to spread news that may not even be applicable by tonight. Someone's hurting but they want to compete.

We're live, pal.
Opening match is The VeloCities vs. The Crucible
Lance Steel and Princess Kimberlee are wearing matching gear.
Lance Steel taps out Jude the Dude with a Boston Crab after they worked over his injured midsection all match.
I'm sure at least one of these guys will be in RDV tomorrow.

Karate Kat Xtreme vs. The Nations is up next
Lucas Calhoun is "the illegitimate son of Truckasaurus."
Stray Kat was the face in PURRil all match and eventually got pinned with a triple powerbomb type move.

The Legion of Rot vs. The Carnies up now
sounds like the Legion have new entrance music. Kobald and Frightmare both come out with their entrance headgear on and it looks like they each have new masks as well.
Tripp Cassidy pins Hallowicked in an upset!

Hatfields and McCoy vs. Creatures of the Deep up next
Boomer comes out first and it feels like an eternity before Molly and Dasher come out. Dasher puts his hands on Boomer's shoulders and Boomer tenses up a bit but gets a pat on the back before heading to the ring.
Hermit Crab is injured (wearing a big cast on his right arm) so Cajun Crawdad will take his place and will not be appearing in the RDV tomorrow. Hermit Crab is out with his team though.
Oceanea makes Merlok pick her up and carry her on his shoulders to the ring.
Dasher and Boomer argue about who is going to start things off. Dasher tells Boomer to get out, Boomer pushes his dad back into the corner and starts the match.
Dasher stole a tag from Boomer at one point and now Molly just rolled Dasher out of the ring when he was down, almost making sure that hurt feelings wouldn't happen over a tag.
Cajun Crawdad does the Crab Walk in honor of his partner and misses.
Molly tags Boomer now and Dasher immediately slaps him on the back to tag himself in.
Crawdad goes coast 2 coast on the APRON!
Oceanea and Merlok hit their finish on Molly but Boomer saves her. He catches Merlok with a Code Red for the pin.
Boomer and Dasher argue after the match and Dasher leaves. Boomer goes to check on Molly and helps her to the back.
Oceanea screaming at all 3 of her men after the match blaming them for the loss. She smacks Hermit Crab and Merlok shoves her down! Merlok walks out. Crawdad goes to help her out and she yells at him to leave. Hermit Crab stands over her and then motions that he's done with her. He gets to the top of the ramp and says "HERMIT CRAB HATES YOU!" and leaves. Oceanea finally leaves.
Intermission time.

We're back with The Colony vs. Quack Attack
Coach Mikey presents Mike Quackenbush with his own Ugly Ducklings mask before the start of the match.
Quack and Fire Ant have been trading holds for the entire match so far and refusing to make a tag. Green Ant finally tags himself in. The Ducklings are now begging Quack to get in and he lets them.
Fire Ant kicks out of several tandem moves (one including a Quackendriver) but eventually gets a flash pin on one of the Ducks.
All men shake following the match.

Crucible vs. Queens up now
Matt Makowski is using the nickname "Weapon X" now
DeMorest reminds me of what it would be like if Shane Storm and Tim Donst had a kid
Officer Magnum is here!
and Freddie Mercurio kind of looks like Chuck Taylor!
at one point The Crucible were looking to re-break Willow's neck but were unsuccessful.
Makowski finally taps out Solo with an armbar

FIST vs. The Embassy up next. I have to run out so hopefully I can catch the result. FIST won, that's all I got.
Main event time.
Steiner just threw Santell out of the ring and started throwing him around the building. I'm not sure he realized it was Lucha Tag Rules.
Team Pump wins when Steiner puts the Steiner Recliner on Thomas Santell. Lots of boos.

I just saw the replay on IWTV, and here's a couple of observations:
-Wow, was Scott Steiner horrible. Didn't know the lucha tag rules, everything he did looked terrible, and he broke the no swearing rule. Team PUMP going over NDK was absolutely the wrong decision.
-Never heard Jason Heat before, but he was a pretty good play-by-play guy, and he played off of Bakabella pretty well. He also had a little SNAFU with the language, though. Overall, 7/10, would listen to him again.
-Was not expecting The Carnies to go over The Legion of Rot. Not complaining, though. I've been seeing them a lot recently, particularly in Bizarro Lucha, and they're really good. We'll likely see both Hallowicked/Frightmare and Iggy/Awful in the tag gauntlet, so I'm expecting The Carnies to take an L in the next round.
-Actual story progression with the Creatures of the Deep? Colour me surprised. I wonder if this leads to Oceania getting new goons, or if Delmi Exo comes back to talk some sense into her sister.
-I've got a feeling it's ultimately gonna be Dasher who costs his team the tournament. He's gonna try and stop Boomer from getting another win, and it'll lead to either Boomer or Dasher himself taking a pin. Having Boomer be the breakout talent in their match and Dasher being mad at his son's success is a great story, and it looks like Molly may be siding with Boomer in this family squabble sooner rather than later.

We're kicking things off with the first RDV qualifying match
Danjerhawk vs. Mat Diamond from the VeloCities vs. The Whisper vs. Jude London from the VeloCities
Danjerhawk has been eliminated after some tandem offense from the VeloCities
London steals a pin on his own partner. It's down to London and The Whisper
Whisper wins it with a "Forward Handspring 450 Splash" according to Quack. Fans were really getting behind Whisper near the end.

Anyone else find it interesting that The Whisper didn't come out to the Crucible theme?

Did not expect Whisper to be a guy to make a never-say-die babyface turn mid-match. That was a surprising way to book the match.

BLANK vs. Still Life up next? I figured that would be much later
Blank ripped open Still Life's mask and it came off twice but there's no DQ call. Blank pummels Still Life and wins with an elbow

Was there supposed to be a DQ there and it was just forgotten? The finish was kind of strange.

Not gonna mince words: that finish was bullshit.
BLANK practically tears off Still Life's mask, to the point it is virtually unwearable. Doesn't get disqualified.
BLANK lays in 10-15 closed fists. No disqualification.
BLANK shoves Kris Levin when he tries to get BLANK off of Still Life. No disqualification.
Do your freaking job, ref.

Team Pump is out and Petey pulls the mic out of Scott's hands before he can say anything. Jordynne goes under the ring and gets out the "Scott Steiner Swear Jar." They say Scott still owes some money. They finally get Scott's whole wallet and he apologizes.
