It's the first RAW of 2019, and after a couple of weeks of taped shows, we're back to being live, this week from Orlando. The show will feature Hulk Hogan paying respects to his friend, the dearly departed Mean Gene Okerlund.
A week after being told who The Man is these days, John Cena is back on RAW. What is the 16 time champ planning to do with the Royal Rumble fast approaching?
Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman are set to face off once again for the Universal Title in Phoenix, and both monsters are on the show tonight. Will they go right for each other, or will there be some decorum?
Former RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss is launching a new interview segment this week called "A Moment of Bliss", and her first guest is the current RAW Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey. The likelihood of things going to plan here are very low...
Two matches have been announced - Bobby Roode and Chad Gable will defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against The Revival in a Lumberjack Match, while former acting GM Baron Corbin takes on Elias.
Seth Rollins is looking to enforce change, taking out Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush, and entering himself into the Royal Rumble Match. What will the Architect do for an encore?
All this, and any word on when the Women's Tag Team Titles will be introduced or not, tonight from 8/7c on USA!

Can't say I'm looking forward to the Alexa/Ronda segment. Hopefully it's kept short because I'm tired of the whole talk show thing in general.

It's the first show since they said things will change that they actually have a chance to deliver on that (double tapings for holidays are never good shows), so I'll give it a watch, not expecting much though.

Not expecting much given that description... I’ll probably watch until the Kings start though.

I don’t think that the kinds of changes the shows need are going to happen in one night. They can start going down that road, sure, but they’d need to keep it going at that standard for maybe a month or two before people go “Maybe they mean it this time” and then keep it going from there.

Going up against the Alabama/Clemson game tonight as well, so even if it's a good show the ratings probably won't show it.

Judging by scattered talkpieces I see on that, it might be as stale a matchup as you see on the average week of WWE TV.

Im not expecting a huge effort tonight given they're going up against the National Championship Game, and regardless if they do the ratings might look like shit

No way to not sound like an ass but the racist orange goblin jackoff will only make me change the channel. Just do a stupid tweet that I’ll ignore if you want to honor him you’re not the only one he interviewed back in the day.. Not sure if I’ll even watch not that I really pay attention to the show much. Never thought the day would come where I’d rather have Cena on my screen than someone else.

TBH, I am only going to watch the show because Hogan will be there. If, after the segment, the show gets boring or doing the same thing as usually, I'll turn off the TV.

Oh man, a Ronda Rousey promo, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, a Baron Corbin match, AND a lumberjack match? Where do I sign up to watch literally anything else?

Quick, Mattel, get that Hollywood Hogan figure out while you still can so our WCW rosters won't have a glaring omission!

This should be the week they show the new direction. The one more fan directed. It’s the first live one since they told us they’d be doing something different.
I don’t expect much

Yeah, i wouldn’t expect this mind blowing change right off the bat. Like all changes, it’ll happen gradually, not all at once. Besides, if you’re already on the mindset of “this Raw is gonna suck,” maybe find something else to do.
I don’t mean that to come off as douche, I’m serious. There’s the championship game, a few sitcoms, a few good movies out, YouTube, games, etc. Why bother watching the show if you’re already of the mindset that it’s going to suck? (Not that I blame you, they’ve given plenty of reasons for most to be paranoid.)

I'm only watching because of that segment and I pray it kicks off the show. I'm just curious to see how the crowd reacts to Hogan.

To be fair some people(Like me,i actually clicked to make sure the brother didnt stand for hogan...and it sure did) dont watch but still pop up to see if it sounds better. Or even some just pop up to remind everyone how much they dislike it

Hmm, that's one option.
I also have a pile of cardboard boxes to flatten for recycling.

Per PWInsider... {Spoiler}EC3, Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans and Heavy Machinery are backstage at RAW tonight, where some of them might make their debuts. Nikki Cross is on the road with SmackDown this week, so it's likely she'll debut on that brand.
