Imaginext. Don't laugh. I love getting the blind bags of the "main" line, there's so many neat figures in the run. And I like that they feel like actual figures, not statues or artist's mannequins. I know they're intended for younger ages, but they do a lot of stuff with older audiences in mind. Figures homaging M.U.S.C.L.E. and Battle Beasts, Universal monsters and Fisher-Price Adventure People, Crash Test Dummies and all sorts of funny little ideas. A lot of their playsets, especially the medieval stuff, has nods to old He-Man toys (including the Grayskull dungeon, which some people are using in their actual Castle Grayskulls now), and their licensed stuff is some great stuff as well. I've only managed to find a small couple of handfuls of any of the series at the local Target or Wal-Mart, though I lucked out getting about half a dozen last week from various waves that were found hiding behind shelves during the holidays. Also, they aren't $20 or even $10.

I wouldn't laugh, they're great. I'd collect them if I wasn't worried I'd get addicted My favorite toyline right now is Batman Knight Missions. It's kinda impressive how good they are for like 10 bucks. (Well, the 6 inch line, I don't collect the 12 inch line, but for what they are, they look good, too. I just much prefer 6 inch figures.) Mattel's got their issues, but these are much better than anything I've seen from Hasbro from any of their budget lines.

Nah, I hear ya. I remember Ashens reviewing a blind bag of those and they did look excellent, especially that one of a mummy with a veyr nicely detailed Anubis mask. I like that they went for simple but still visually striking designs, and that they still have more variety than most other lines with similar concepts. They also look very sturdy, which is good for a line aimed at younger kids. I'm also surprised at the amount of accessories they come with for something so cheap (as in, it's cheap for what it is, not that it feels like it was cheaply made).

The tribute figures are amazing. I need those monsters, and the Adventure people android figure. I've got a soft spot for see through figures.

I would be all over those massive playsets as a kid
My kid is just a bit too young for them. He's way into Little People right now though.

I have a massive interest in action figures. Not playing with them, mind you. Just collecting.
The thing is.. I’m 25. I still live at home and the whole “spending hundreds on toys” thing is gonna look a bit weird. So I’m waiting till I get my own place, hopefully soon so I can do this hobby in private without feeling like I’m being judged.
I had hundreds of Mattel figures but I stopped collecting around 2012. It’s gonna be fun to catch up on all the gems I missed. My goal is to get atleast one of everyone. And multiples if they’re different gimmicks/attires (for example, 80s Hogan and nWo Hogan)

In this age when even higher end retail action figures feature heavy use of reused tooling to work at retail, the amount of originality in the designs in the Imaginext line is amazing.

These things look cool. Unfortunately for me, all my "stupid toy" money is going into Transformers.
Got back into them around the end of Titans Return / Beginning of Power of the Primes. Got only 1-2 TR's, but got a handful of the POTP ones. It was the Dinobots.
Now this new line. War For Cybertron: Siege? I've got the entire Wave 1 so far. Looking forward to Wave two though, with Ironhide, Soundwave and Starscream.

Those pink ones look ver much like m.u.s.c.l.e mini figs. They're meant to. In that wave, one figure was an homage to a Battle Beast, one was an homage to X-Ray from the Fisher Price line and those two were MUSCLE-inspired. And unlike the rest of the plastic and poseable figures, they're solid bendable rubber.

I have been given a bunch of Batman Imaginext stuff. The Bigfoot I got is missing the leaf and ball. About a year later a local closeout store had the blind bag figures cheap. I bought close to 20 of them. Yep Walter White Imaginext, got at least 2 of these. There is a neat Zombie. He comes with a sack mask and a weedwacker. With the mask he looks like The Town that Dreaded Sundown. EDIT Forgot another playset. Got this for 7 bucks. Was new but the packaging was beat up. And found this creature at a local junkstore for a buck. They are a fairly cheap toyline that has a huge variety of stuff.

If I was a kid again, I'm pretty sure I would have gone crazy for these, especially that awesome Batman Mecha they came out with a while ago.
