Because the WWE network was advertised as being "9.99" world wide. Not "nine dollars and ninety-nine cents", "nine ninety-nine". That maybe the case, but it does not change the fact that it has always been astonishingly unfair that UK fans pay more than US fans. In Japan do they charge 9.99 Yen? Very much doubt it because then they would be paying a lot less than 9.99 dollars - which WWE would never let happen. Japan doesn't decimate their currency so it be 999 Yen ( I assume) which is currently $9.19. Close enough.

In Japan they charge 9.99 US dollars: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.wwe.com/amp/wwenetwork/now-available-in-japanThe same principle in the UK would mean paying a lot less than £9.99 (although the way the pound is dropping in value maybe not for too much longer right enough!)

Canada pays like $13 for a crippled version, I believe. Ireland pays €13, I think.

They have already acknowledged that they are considering adding other pricing tiers to the Network, though I'd guess they'd keep a $9.99 tier. They have used the phrase "WWE Network 2.0" during corporate presentations.

Finally checked a week ago. And still 9.99 for me. Def wouldn’t be happy if I got a price hike and wasn’t told about it.
