I freakin' swear I have been beating the 'Pete Dunne is Great" drum for like ever on this board.
And yet, there are still people who can't "take him seriously" because of his haircut.
Oh, and the money match is Dunne vs Bryan.

Pete's the goddamn man. So many people I'd like to see him work with on the main roster.
Bryan (both as a match/feud and tag team) Heel Miz Styles Rusev Nakamura Gable Almas
And the list goes on and on.

He's fantastic. I'm so impressed every time I've seen him.

The old timey women's swimwear is not a good look.

I hate to be that guy but I think we are forgetting he's awful on the mic. Saw him on a breakfast show in the UK and he looked nervous, stiff and was really quiet. It's hard to buy him as the Bruiserweight when he is this quiet wooden guy in real life.

I had him come to the main roster on my 2k19 Universe mode, and he's like the hottest thing on Smackdown now, lol.
Seriously though, dude freaking rules. Him and the women are the main reason I watch NXT UK.

He's also only 24 or 25, so there's still tons of time for him to get better in that area.

I'm not as into him as most, but as far as BritWres goes, I'll take him over the likes of ZSJ 10,000 times out of 3.

Yeah but the Bruiserweight flanked by someone like Trent Seven or Christian Michael Jakobi is Mania main event talent.

Some might not be around for him to square off against later.

I love Dunne, he's a star, but I've always thought that Tyler Bate has the highest ceiling of the BSS guys.

If he opened a dumpling shop, he could call it Pete Bun.

Glad to hear general opinion has swayed to his favour. There was a time when it didn't? I though Dunne has always been loved since most people got to know him at the original UK tournament? Dunne along with Bate and Devlin continue to improve and are amazing talents. All three should have bright futures in WWE.

I seem to remember a loud minority that seemed to dislike him because of his hair, the joint manipulation and his finisher.

It's funny because this place would shit on him if he looked different and call him a generic indy guy.

I hate to be that guy but I think we are forgetting he's awful on the mic. I don’t mean to use you as an example here but this has been something that’s annoyed me for a really long time and I feel this is the right place to say it. WWE’s biggest problem, and the one major thing that is keeping it from making stars, is expecting everyone to fit in this singular shape and mould to become a top guy and we as fans buy into this narrative because that’s what we think a star is since, as the top company in the world, that’s what they see as successful. I get it; different people also have different standards for their top or favorite guys. I really do. At the same time, if you have the facilities and money to make improvements to people to make them draw more...why can’t you try and make it work? Because it feels like they give up or don’t try most of the time. Trevor Lee or Pete Dunne don’t have the standard “voice”? Cool, give them a manager. Ember Moon doesn’t have a gimmick? Cool, give her one. Braun Strowman can’t cut 20 minute promos? DON’T HAVE HIM CUT 20 MINUTE PROMOS! These are genuine problems that they can solve but don’t want to but instead throw people out there hoping that the fan base they’ve told for almost 2 decades that The Rock is the standard changes their mind over someone just because. And there are also times when, well, some of that doesn’t matter. People love Pete Dunne for what he does in the ring and not his mike work. If they feel that’s not the case, they can try and sort it out. If not? Hey, you can still feel he’s a bad promo without people acting like the WWE way is the right way. Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio are, compared to others, bad promos but the promos they can cut, Bryan in particular, make you buy into what they’re saying rather than expecting to be drawn in with a great voice and presence. My point is that WWE’s issue of just throwing people out there without doing much and then blaming them for not doing what they didn’t expect from them is something that’s harming the business in a way that’s making less variety grow because the standard isn’t something everyone can pull off, nor should they.

Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are both so good at their age that it just isn't even fair
If they stay healthy, the sky is the limit
