Like I said, I expect Brock to retain either way but Brock/Braun is something I've seen before and it sucked. Brock/Balor is something different at least.
Hopefully everything with Braun ends up being good and this is just a minor setback for him, though.

Cena did that, with amazing hair I love you edgestar, even though we have way different views on what's amazing. It's hilarious!!!

The match was enough, Cena doesn't really need to have an aftermatch promo on top of it, just sounds phoney to me And if he did nothing, he might be labeled as a sore loser. Cena did a classy thing, tonight, and people are going to remember Balor winning, more than that promo. My only thing as others have brought up, is if Balor's only being set up to lose, then that really sucks for him after tonight.

It's a shame EoE's ranking system is on slow, because Finn had a hell of a four days I'm still tracking them, but I'm just not doing a rankings yet until I've finished converting 2017 results into my cleaner spreadsheet format. And that involves watching EVERY match finish to make sure they're all still correctly scored. But yeah, Balor's picked up something like 50 points in the last three days. With Reigns and Strowman off the board at this point because of illness and injury, Balor is pretty much outright third now behind Styles and Rollins.

I dont know, I mean Brock probably wins, but when it comes to Brock, WWE LOVES shock value. Balor winning would do that. It's not happening at the Royal Rumble when they're still setting up the Rollins/Lesnar match. Strowman was booked to lose, Balor's going to take Strowman's place, that's just how it goes. Yeah, I can't see Balor winning here, but I hope we get a Bryan/Styles-type match and not a Reigns/Joe/Strowman-type match (them individually, not that bangin' Fatal 4-Way from a couple years back).

It's not happening at the Royal Rumble when they're still setting up the Rollins/Lesnar match. Strowman was booed to lose, Balor's going to take Strowman's place, that's just how it goes. If they wanted some new and fresh shit they'd get Brock out of the main event, but who the hell knows. Balor/Lesnar is new and fresh. At the end of the day though having him lose at the Rumble instead of WM wouldn't make sense.

Dean’s been defending the IC belt, people have to earn their opportunities and elevate new talent with it, Bobby is the new champ, Seth is likely getting a push, The women may main event mania and have been given more time to actually do stuff in their tag matches, especially now that the new tag titles are coming, and now Balor/Lesnar for the Universal title, something new. IMO they have been trying to change, even if it’s in small doses.

How cool would it be if Lesnar attacked Balor next week on Raw to set up The Demon coming out at the Rumble to just stomp Lesnar in 2 minutes? Knowing WWE they'd have Lesnar beat The Demon anyway. You know, my theory of Wyatt doing a run in on Strowman could still happen here since we never got that blow off to the Sister Abigail angle.

Kevin Owens tweeted a picture of him eating the IC title, and I thought he somehow won and I got all excited.

That Raw was straight garbage.
I am a massive Balor fan but the whole “underdog” thing is so played out man. They ran with this shit the whole night... from Vince saying he doesn’t compare to the other 3 guys, to Mahal “picking the ‘easy one’” to the whole cliche ‘win two matches in one night’ that they did with Bryan at WM30 to finally that endorsement from Cena.
All of this shit wasn’t needed. The fans like Balor enough without being told how small he is and how he couldn’t possibly compete with the big guys...
I would have had Demon Balor win the Rumble and done Wyatt vs Lesnar at the Rumble instead (if Braun is indeed hurt) ........
Once again they split Nikki Cross from SAnitY... Ugh. I thought they realized how terrible of an idea this was when they had her face Becky on Smackdown a few weeks ago. Not pleased with this.
Why is Ronda Rousey so infatuated with Sasha Banks? What the f*** is that.
Lashley winning the Intercontinental Title was literally the only good thing on this Raw. Now Dean and Seth can move onto bigger things hopefully. Lashley needed this. Love that guy.

A pretty good Raw, the Triple Threat & Fatal 4-Way were the best matches on the show, a really good debut of a new talent, & crappy debuts for 2 more, interesting change of storyline for the Rumble, & cool announcement about the Women’s Tag Titles.
Here are the facts for RAW: - Sasha Banks & Ronda Rousey VS Nia Jax & Tamina was Rousey & Tamina’s 1st Raw match of 2019, & everyone’s 1st Raw opener of 2019 - The Lucha House Party VS The Revival was Kalisto & Gran Metalik’s 1st Raw match of 2019 & Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder was the 1st team to compete in 3 matches in 2019 - Bayley, Nikki Cross, & Natalya VS The Riott Squad was the 3rd 6-Person Tag Team Match of 2019, the 1st since NXT UK on January 9, & the 2nd week in a row on Raw, everyone’s 1st Raw match of 2019, but Cross competed on NXT last week & was the 2nd week in a row Raw had 2 Women’s Matches - Finn Balor VS Jinder Mahal was both wrestlers’ 1st Singles Match on Raw in 2019 - Seth Rollins VS Dean Ambrose VS Bobby Lashley was the 2nd Intercontinental Championship Match of 2019 & the 2nd week in a row on Raw, the 2nd Triple Threat Match of 2019, the 1st since Smackdown on January 8, & the 1st on Raw in 2019, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose were the 1st wrestlers to compete in 3 matches on Raw in 2019, & was the 1st Intercontinental Title Change of 2019 - Finn Balor VS John Cena VS Baron Corbin VS Drew McIntyre was the 1st Fatal 4-Way Match of 2019, everyone’s 1st Raw main event of 2019, Balor was the 2nd week in a row that someone competed twice on Raw in 2019, & Balor, Cena, & McIntyre were the 1st wrestlers of 2019 to go from the Raw opener to the following week’s main event

I didn't mind Cena giving Becky Lynch the rub, and I don't mind him putting Finn Balor over.

I didn't mind Cena giving Becky Lynch the rub, and I don't mind him putting Finn Balor over. Up next, The Irish Ace goes over Big Match John, and then he comes back to the US and loses to Sheamus again... and then something with Session Moth Martina, I don't know.

Sheamus beating Cena for the WWE Title at TLC 2009 was some clever foreshadowing for the long game of Cena putting over Irish wrestlers.

I had not watched the WWE in a long time, watched a few moments of the last match. Was shocked by Cena's bald spot. It's worse than Sting's bald spot from Mania and they have like 15 years age difference. At least go back to the crewcut, buddy. This hairstyle is not doing him any favors.
