Heavy Machinery losing their last names doesn't seem as bad as Andrade losing his. I can easily see those two just being Tucker and Otis but not Andrade.

The Northern Irish dude? He got let go a couple of months back. Oh Christ, I forgot they already had a Tucker in the mix already. As if the Wikipedia ambiguous entry page wasn't already going to be complex enough. I'm going to have to go into listing the real names to separate the two, since they'll both be on the points ranking project under the one name (Northern Irish Tucker only there via carryovers) when I pick that back up. So they'd be on there as "Tucker (Levi Cooper)" and "Tucker (Paul Gallagher)".

Tag Teams only going by one name isn't as big a deal to me...
though them just being Otis and Tucker as singles guys is gonna be strange.

I remember saying this when the first UK tournament happened but I do not understand a guy with the wrestling name of just 'Tucker' anyway, but that's not even his real name???

If NJPW and WWE ever did a show together, we could have: Tucker and Otis versus EVIL

So...ok...
Like, I get certain things about the main roster renaming people to suit their needs and for the most part, it's...fine, silly but inoffensive.
But...they do realize the talent comes from developmental, right? That they can do all this stuff in developmental and on NXT to prepare them for the main roster instead of debuting them for a few weeks and then going "Oh, by the way, the people we established as one name is actually this now and we're not going to explain why. Cool? Cool"
This isn't like they're bringing in someone from a territory nobody's seen before, ideally, you want people to watch NXT as well to follow these people up.

Proof-positive that a) Vince McMahon must barely look at a talent before they've been called up to the main roster and b) it's Vince McMahon who cares about silly things like foreigners and tag teams not having complicated, two- or (shock horror) three-word names.

Fine, refer to them as Otis and Tucker, but do the last names have to be stricken from everything completely?
You don't ALWAYS need to refer to them by both names, and have that be consistent across the chyrons, commentary, and merch.

Goldberg was just called Goldberg like 80% of the time, but he debuted as Bill and everyone knew his name was Bill and it wasn’t a f***ing big deal.

Damn WWE again getting rid of last names. Heavy Machinery are now just Otis & Tucker. So, Dozovic & Knight join Almas, Langston, & all of the other last names that was cut from a wrestler. Now, I have to move them to "O" & "T" in my records.

You don't ALWAYS need to refer to them by both names, and have that be consistent across the chyrons, commentary, and merch. WWE is incapable of presenting things organically, and the idea of someone having multiple names and just not using those names all the time is simply inconceivable. It's why every single WWE.com article about John Cena has to include "The Cenation Leader" within the first three sentences even though nobody ever calls him that and Lawler has to be called "Jerry 'the King' Lawler" always every time all the time, save for on commentary when Cole calls him "King'. Why when someone has multiple nicknames they need to cycle through them and cram them in to every line of commentary. When you have a presentation this forced and inauthentic, you can't have someone just not always be referred to by their last names. Once again it's Vince being a crazy person.
