So long as we're talking about King of the Hill, the character I'd be inclined to single out is Lucky. I really can't think of anything funny he ever did, his presence completely consumes Luanne's character, and it feels like he just hogs a ton of screentime.
Also I'm going to backpedal a bit on my initial example of Kotaro having watched a few more episodes of Zombie Land Saga. The character doesn't really get any better and the show's still kind of dragged down a bit by his presence but after the second episode (at least up through the sixth where I left off) there's a LOT less of him.

Wesley Crusher.
However now that I think about it, it might be Wil Wheaton himself. When he shows up in Big Bang, I just roll my eyes and curl my lip.

How about redeemed annoying characters? I used to despise Valencia on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, season one. Which I guess was the point. But season 2 on, as she became friends with Rebecca et al, she's become a more likable, more multifaceted character. They've been mentioned on here already, and it may not be a popular opinion, but I'll say Dawn Summers & Connor. They were really annoying for most of their runs(specifically s6 of Buffy & s4 of Angel), but their characters redeemed themselves in each show's final season. Dawn matured throughout s7 & actually became likable & a pretty good fighter, plus barely any whining, and Connor's character, even if it took a little magic, was way more likable in his few episodes of s5.

"Call me MJ!" in Spider-Man Homecoming. She shows up from time to time, makes a snarky half assed social justice comment, then disappears for another twenty minutes. Awful character. Her character was way too snarky to ever even remotely like. Wanna name another MCU weakness? Supporting female characters...well, most of them...

Pam on Archer. For the longest time, I didn't give that show a chance because the first bit I ever saw from it was a random scene while channel surfing of Pam being obnoxious. I thought, "If the whole show is like that, I'll pass." I eventually got into the show and liked everything about it except Pam.

Not... quite the same thing but personally I've never checked out Archer (though some individual clips I've seen are funny) in large part because in everything else I've seen him in I find H. Jon Benjamin incredibly obnoxious.

I might add Kevin Keller from Riverdale to this list, albeit only in episodes where it is all about his gay angst. What's sad is that the character won the Archie comics a GLAAD award for how they handled a gay character. Can anyone see GLAAD being thrilled with the way he has been portrayed on Riverdale?
I dunno if I would say Michelle in Spider-Man: Homecoming dragged the movie down, but the "Call me MJ" moment near the end was a groaner. I do have to ponder why Zendaya is getting all of this work though. What's the appeal?

Carmilla in the Netflix Castlevania was easily the worst part about it outside of Godbrand whom they had the decency to kill off unceremoniously out of nowhere at least. Everyone on that show seems like they're going to fall asleep any minute.

I'm glad other people were annoyed by Michelle in Spider-Man: Homecoming. I hope in the sequel, one of the other teens calls her out on her crummy attitude being the reason why she's a loner. Then the character can have some development other than "quirky girl that is supposedly funny but is actually annoying".
Ned on the other hand is awesome.

Neelix in Voyager, Kitty Pryde in X-Men, Scrappy Doo in Scooby Doo, Jar Jar Bink in Star Wars, Cena in WWE and Wesley Crusher in TNG.

Here's another one...
Jimmy. Pesto.
Good God, how I loathe thee. Though that may also have to do with how I tend to identify with Bob quite a bit.

No mention of this f*** outside of a joke alluding to him? Guess it is the low hanging fruit here but I'll be the one to explicitly list Jar Jar Binks. Mutt Williams, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull
Jurassic World has several horrible characters, but the worst is Vincent D'Onofrio's Hoskins, the absurd military contractor guy who wants to use velociraptors to hunt Al Qaeda.
Jar Jar Binks is my answer as well. I was so excited for Phantom Menace. That CGI garbage character makes it so hard to sit through. The movie would’ve been so much better received without it.

And WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST CALL HER MARY JANE?!?!? JJ Abrams - "He's not playing Khan. He's not Khan. He's absolutely not Khan" Guy Not Playing Khan - "My name.....is Khan" Exactly what they pulled. It was weak as hell. Reminded me of John "LOL I'M ROBIN, GUYS!" Blake.

Hey, since there's a lot of talk about Mortal Kombat lately here's one - I'd probably have a lot more regard for MK9's story if not for Sindel.

That little tick turd Connor from Angel. At least we got the immense satisfaction of seeing his pussy whipped equivalent on the V reboot torn to shreds.

Peter Petrelli on heroes was nigh on unwatchable in the goodish seasons of that show, kind and good and utterly lifeless.
Elmyra when she was added to Pinky and the brain.
Hulk Hogan in WCW for 95% of his time there.
Wheelie and Daniel on season three of Transformers. They were the worst parts of a bad season of a middling cartooo. They were okay in the movie though.
Bernadette and Stewart in the big Bang Theory. I understand the need to calm and settle Howard down, but Bernadette is just mean and unpleasant with a voice like a dial-up modem. Stewart, they took a character who was a socially functional nerd and made him utterly, irredeemably pathetic, and creepy to boot. Not content with that, they made him a main cast member to fill the creepy nerd joke gap, and har har, Raj may be gay.
