Know what? I'm just glad it's over. Especially hearing commercials and people on tv say, "The Big Game," because they're legally not allowed to say Super Bowl. That shit is corny.

And now a quote from Tom Brady's press conference: I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right...yet to fail nonetheless. It's frightening, turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you, to what end? Dread it...Run from it....Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say...I AM.

I'm a Pats fan, but that game was exciting to me. Nerve racking, but fun. I definitely get if you didn't have a dog in the fight, but both defenses were f***ing beastly! I loved it. Honestly, I had an ominous feeling through the first 3 1/2 quarters. The Patriots outperformed the Rams offensively but could only manage a 3 point lead. I couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen until the Gilmore interception.

Hands down, Belichick's best coaching job this season

I was having heart palpitations before that pick and until he missed the kick.

I'm glad I didn't watch a second of this. I'm not watching another Patriots Super Bowl. I'll take a Cowboys/Bills 1993 squash instead. I will literally watch anything else. Last night I watched season 9 X-Files episodes. You know, the season without David Duchovny even being there and Gillian Anderson might as well not have been. Even that is preferable to watching another Patriots Super Bowl.

Good fourth quarter... and Ill defend the first three quarters. The offenses didn't play like crap, both defenses were NAILS. That's Pats defense beat the living shit out of Jarred Goff all night... Look at the numbers for how bad he got beaten tonight against what was just voted the best offensive line in football. This was a legendary level performance. Goff dropped back and had a guy in his face, he never stood a chance. The Rams defense played ridiculously well and the Patriot's offense were still themselves, sticking with their gameplan. As always, they like to play for the long game and slowly wear down defenses to score late in the game, that is exactly what happened here. But holding the Patriots offense to 13 points in the Super Bowl is something to be truly proud of. Now, while I am taking nothing away from the Patriots defense, they played incredibly as well, the Rams offense was not the same offense we watched this season. Granted the Bears shut them down as well, but they were the best defense in the league. Goff looked nervous before the game even started. While the Pats defense put massive pressure on him, he made a lot of foolish plays, often holding onto the ball way too long and not knowing when to throw the damn ball away. He had no composure whatsoever. Then, the biggest head scratcher, why wasn't Gurley used a lot more? Ten touches, WTF!? He was the best running back in the league this year. I thought he was injured, but nope, he claimed he was perfectly healthy after the game. He even started to show signs of life in the second half, but they just stopped using him in a 3-3 game. I said this time and time again in the time leading up to this game, to have a chance at beating the Patriots, the Rams have to do what got them there. They need to stay true to themselves and not try to overthink this game. Usually the Patriots will focus on taking a team's strengths away, but the Rams just did it themselves. So while both teams had great defensive performances, the Rams weren't at their best at offense and did themselves no favors.

Oh good the piece of shit cheaters score a TD. They aren't cheating here, the Rams are just being ass in a situation where you can't be ass in. Leave your facts at the door and let him throw his tired yearly tantrum.

I'm not typically a big New England fan. But, after what the Rams and the Referees did to the Saints, I was extremely happy when the Rams got embarrassed last night.

I can't wrap my head around the claims that last night's game stunk. Is it really just points and prolific offenses that people want? If that's the case, then why is it that the Arena League isn't the hottest brand of football in America?
What I saw were two defensive masterminds (Bill Belichick and Wade Phillips) going toe-to-toe with two of the finest young offensive minds in the game (Sean McVay and Josh McDaniels). And I saw a 66-year-old old-school football genius completely pants the 33-year-old offensive whiz kid who is supposed to be the future of football. Belichick and de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores painted a defensive masterpiece on Sunday night, holding the Rams - the second-highest scoring team in the league - to a single field goal and zero plays in the red zone.
Sunday night's game proved that the oldest axiom in football is still alive to this day. Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships.

Considering that this was one of the lowest Super Bowl ratings in 10 years, yes, people want to see points scored. Or at least more than 16 combined points. Or maybe they're sick of the Patriots.

Yea, defense was played but let's not act like it wasn't a sloppy game
The most exciting play of the first half was the Brady interception. Otherwise it was a good amount of dropped passes and running right into the DL. I don't categorize this as defensive wizardry in the sense of their was plays out there that was left on the field especially on the Rams side
Point blank is in no game are people going to be excited about a 3-3 game at half time. The offensive game plan was conservative on both sides with everyone screaming where the hell is Gurley on the Rams side and it's going to Gronk or Edleman on the Pats side
That's not to take away from Bill genius as he took McVay to school but the game stunk. Defense can be fun to watch but this didn't come across as a battle in the trenches, it really seemed like it was a Punt-fest on the Rams side and dropped passes on the Pats side

I think in a few years, as offenses continue to dominate the game and statistical records continue to be shattered, we'll all look back at this game in wonder and be stunned that the Rams were held to three points and zero red zone possessions. It's fine that people hate it now and would have preferred a Big XII/Arena Football game like we got in Super Bowl LII, but I think there's going to be some revisionist history where people look back and appreciate the defensive masterpiece we saw on Sunday night from Bill Belichick and Brian Flores. Even as defense becomes a four-letter word in the NFL, the Patriots proved that you still need it to win a championship and that a good defense and brilliant game plan can beat even the most prolific offense.

I'm sure Patriots fans will appreciate it and no one else. True enough, maybe I'm allowing my judgment of the game to be clouded based on who I cheer for, because whether the Patriots won 2-0 or 77-70, I'd be content with the result.
