RAW is live from Oklahoma City tonight, and it's the red brand's go-home show for the Royal Rumble this Sunday in Phoenix!
In the sole match announced for tonight, after being reluctant partners last week, Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks will be on opposite sides of a tag team match this week, as the RAW Women's Champion teams with Natalya against the Boss 'n' Hug Connection of Banks and Bayley. Banks showed Rousey up last week by winning their match against Nia Jax and Tamina with the Bank Statement, proving that she's just as much a submission expert as Rousey. Might she use that move ON Rousey tonight, giving herself the edge ahead of their title match on Sunday?
When Braun Strowman ended up losing his Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar due to destroying Mr. McMahon's limo, Finn Balor stepped up by winning two matches in one night, first over Jinder Mahal and then in a Fatal Four Way against John Cena, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre, to get the shot against the Beast Incarnate. The question remains - will it be the Extraordinary Man taking on Lesnar in Phoenix... or will it be the Demon?
We have a new Intercontinental Champion, as Bobby Lashley won his first title after returning from over a decade away, defeating former champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match. No doubt Lashley's hype man Lio Rush will be crowing about it all night, but will Ambrose, Rollins or anyone else step up to challenge Lashley for the title?
It was confirmed last week that the WWE main roster's newest arrivals - Nikki Cross, EC3, Lacey Evans and Heavy Machinery (no Lars Sullivan just yet) - will be appearing on both RAW and SmackDown Live until they are signed to specific deals. Cross had her first match last week on RAW, playing her part in a six-woman tag win over the Riott Squad, so look for Ruby, Liv and Sarah to target her in response. Meanwhile Alexa Bliss is busy drafting up a restraining order against Otis Dozovic...
All this and much more as the road to Chase Field reaches its final stop - tonight from 8/7c on USA!
