I don't see that at all. He was goofy and the overall movie wasn't great, yes, but he had a lot of great lines that people still quote and his voice is instantly recognizable.

Hardy's Bane is pretty much a punchline... less so than Batman and Robin's who was just generic goon... but... I see far more people mocking Dark Knight Rises Bane than praising it. Especially cause... DKR was not a very good movie. Yea, their was nothing wrong with Hardy performance It is just they really didn't do right by the character

The reveal that it was Talia pulling all the strings instantly turned Bane into little more than the muscle.

Yea, their was nothing wrong with Hardy performance It is just they really didn't do right by the character Absolutely. The reveal that it was Talia pulling all the strings instantly turned Bane into little more than the muscle. I remember that moment deflating my enjoyment of the remainder of the film. Silly voice aside, Tom Hardy gave a commanding performance and really felt like this version of Batman's biggest threat. To reveal with 15 minutes left that he'd essentially just been Ubu the whole time? Such bad writing.

Talia wasn't needed Just let Bane take over for the League of Shadows but he was just a player in the story of Talia. Even the climbing out the prison/Lazarus Pit was Talia

Absolutely. Same. For the majority of the movie it seems like Bane has agency, that he's a genuine threat to Batman because he can outsmart him as well as outfight him. Then in one scene that's all stripped away because we find out he's just been following orders the entire time. He didn't figure out Bruce was Batman and use Gordon to lure him out of retirement, which would've been a great plot by itself, Talia knew all along and just gave Bane a series of instructions to follow. Such an anticlimax.

I love the raised collar on the Batsuit. Very Injustice.

See, I wouldn't be as shocked if this Batman kills
It is not that he looks angry, he looks hurt and is finding ways to take it out on people. He is Batman without his true purpose yet

I like that that looks more like Tim Burton's version of Bruce Wayne than the actual Tim Burton version of Bruce Wayne.

Yea, just makes sense for him to be more aggressive as a young man learning on the job He wants to help but selfishly wants to hurt people too

That looks pretty sick. It seems like they’re going dark but still willing to focus on Batman’s humanity and sense of right (even if he is still developing the persona), which is the happy medium you want with him.

Looks pretty incredible. Loving the aesthetic, tone, the sound. All seems great, I’m definitely hyped.
