Can we just have a moratorium on The Joker, at this point? I think he may actually be more overexposed than Batman himself at this point. Also, this is literally just the Will/Hannibal meeting from Red Dragon. I hope the success of the Riddler, which I feel has always been seen as one of Batman's weaker villains, gives studios more faith in using other Batman villains. With the focus on the crime families in Gotham, maybe Black Mask can finally get his due in the next movie. Black mask would be perfect! I could see Hush or calendar man as a big bad as well

Patiently waits for a proper version of Mr Freeze to be done.

Patiently waits for a proper version of Mr Freeze to be done. Reeves has already said in press for this movie that he has an idea for a "grounded" Mr. Freeze.

Reeves has already said in press for this movie that he has an idea for a "grounded" Mr. Freeze As much as I trust Reeves I don't think you can do a fully grounded version of the character and fully do it justice. Certain Batman villains you can ground without detracting from what makes them work, but others have that fantastical element that define them. Freeze is definitely one of the latter.

If we do get Freeze in the sequel then that means we're a Poison Ivy away from all the villains of the Burton/Schumacher movies being reused by Nolan and Reeves. Including Scarecrow from Batman Triumphant.

This movie is dope as hell so far. The "white privilege" line was cringe tho.

Damn it, Sandberg, don't tease us like that! I'd have actually preferred this.

Seen it when it first came out and absolutely loved it. Wound up going to watch it again a few days later. I thought everyone, from Pattinson to Torturro, nailed their roles. Looking forward to watching it again on Max.

MAN he was good as Batman I've seen it described as an amazing two-hour movie wrapped inside a really good three-hour movie. But it's worth the extra hour just for Pattinson; the guy's outstanding.

I'm meaning to watch it again but kind of putting it off because yeeeeah, it overstays its welcome. Something to be said for not rushing things but I do feel like a good editor could've cut half an hour out of the movie while losing nothing of substance. I also imagine watching it again it'd be hurt by how toward the end the Riddler kind of just forgets what his actual motivation was because the movie suddenly realized he was being way more effective of a hero than Batman is.

I feel like I would have had a much worse opinion of it had I seen it in theaters since I get such bad theater anxiety and it just goes on and on and on so I would've been a wreck at the end of it. I'm kinda drained just from watching at home. Still, worth it for PATMAN™

Visually stunning but for me a boring slog. Take 45 minutes out and you have something enjoyable.

Finally saw it since it's streaming on HBOMax.
Holy smokes did that movie need some editing. Not judicious cuts, but someone flat out telling Matt Reeves "an hour of this movie is going on the cutting room floor, make your choices". Particularly the ROTK-esque thirty minutes of endings.
Still, I enjoyed it. But the crushing length definitely made it a movie better enjoyed at home.
Could have used a big fight between Batman and a super villain though.

Finally got to watch it and really enjoyed it They could trimmed it down 30 mins, more so at the end but it was a really good movie They set up some really good possibilities for future films. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Hush was thrown under the radar which I wouldn't mind seeing. You already shown Joker so can leave him for a 3rd film

I'm gonna wait until it comes out on DVD in a few weeks, but yeah, the movie theater I watched it in was cold and I felt sleepy during the middle of it, so I am looking forward to re-watching it at home when I'm comfortable and will actually stay awake through it lol.

Yeah, Pattinson played the torture soul of Bruce really well, while mixing it with the craze of Batman. It is like he couldn't really turn off Batman but the heart was there especially with few emotional scenes he got to do. He never outright cried as he said he put those emotions away but you can see it trying to come out The few scenes with him and Alfred really makes me want to see more of their relationship since Bruce was kind of a dick to him but he does care about him
