While this may be true, it would all depend on how AEW handles its match booking and creative. I don't think we're going to get anything nearly as capricious as Vince has been with pushing his faves _and nobody else_ and then getting annoyed when someone is genuinely and organically over. It's that caprice that has WWE talents giving AEW a look perhaps more than any other reason (including money, if we're being honest.) Every wrestling company in the world to have ever existed has talent they aren't using properly. If you push everyone you push no-one. There are degrees to it, obviously, but whatever good intentions Cody and co. have will be offset by the fact they'll have less than half the TV time. And presumably a fair amount of that time will go on The Elite. I see your point there, but I think I should clarify mine. I think it's possible that AEW will give enough creative leeway to its talent to let them come up with some angles that have the potential to entertain regardless of where it is on a card. The Golden Age of WWF (1985-1989) was one where you had a fairly stable presence at the top so it allowed some attention on the undercard, particularly the tag division, which bolstered the overall quality of the card and drew even more money than had attention only been given to the world champion angle. If AEW manages to get that kind of entertainment all the way down the card, especially if it's coming from the talent themselves rather than a bank of "TV writers", that can be a huge incentive for many wrestlers to make the jump.

I'm trying to think if anybody in the WWF refused to go to WCW back in the day? Only Taker maybe? HBK was never approached.
Money talks, basically.
But I don't think early on AEW will go agressively after major stars in a bidding war other than a few exeptions such as Ambrose and AJ obviously. Just have to pick the right ones for the launch, esp, guys that are not about money.

A year ago I could've bought into rumors about Becky considering it since she was really unhappy. Now that they're using her the way she should be used, I agree.

Becky is unlikely but possible. AEW said they are paying woman equal to the Male stars, Wwe storytelling is still dumb enough to have her disappointed. Like, Punk was doing great at one point too. And I'm sure they would treat Becky as the star of the woman division too
I doubt right now but in the future if AEW proves thenselves

I would definitely say Orton. Mainly because he's said he doesn't want to do this too much longer. Hasn't he said he doesn't want to wrestle past 40? Dude's gonna be 39 in two months exactly. I would say this, but I hear him and Haitch (apparently) really don't like each other. So makes me think... Woah, I always thought they were tight from their Evolution days. This is news to me. Anyway as for the topic on hand, the first names to pop in my mind are Reigns and Sheamus. Roman always comes off as a guy who is happy living his dream in the WWE, and even though I obviously don't know the guy, I imagine he's made alot of friends in WWE and is probably beloved by management and the other wrestlers. I couldn't see him leaving all of that to wrestle somewhere else. Sheamus because I've read things in the past about apparently he has neck issues so I don't see him starting over somewhere else. Plus he is someone else I think of as a big WWE guy. He's been on the main roster for what will be 10 years this year, always in some prominent role, formerly a world champ now teaming with Cesaro.

Will AEW be the house of former WWE wrestlers? Did wonders for TNA and WCW.

Will AEW be the house of former WWE wrestlers? Did wonders for TNA and WCW. But... it really did. WCW would have never reached their height without established names. Stuff like Angle coming in was huge for TNA. Yes there's a line and balance but no sports team, no wrestling company, no stable of actors in a film or series, is going to turn their nose up to having established names and veteran talents. No, they shouldn't go overboard and hire every outcast and sendoff. But come on you can't expect them to avoid hiring people just because they have WWE on their resume.

It'd be like saying WWE should have turned away Jericho and the Radicalz. "I dunno, this Rey Mysterio dude, can't picture making any money with him."

I don't think you can rule anyone out jumping ship if AEW makes an attractive offer. Except for maybe anyone with a real beef with Cody. And Triple H, of course.
Like, did anyone back in the day ever see Hulk Hogan jumping ship to WCW?
