He’s buying tiki torches and going to a rally with Hulk Hogan and Bill Watts.

Lars should be given a chance if the WWE feels he can draw money. Personally I think he's a generic hoss that will flop. But what he is or isn't in his personal life shouldn't be the only determining factor.

He's the very definition of a generic hoss who comes in to big fanfare, then soon disappears after losing a feud and all his mystique. People will also soon realise, when he's on the main roster, that he isn't even that big. Guy is shorter than Jinder Mahal.

And you're the gatekeeper for who gets to be in the industry? Internet people need to check their reality. I don't think anybody should abide racism, sexism, or any for of bigotry either, but people hoping the guy can't find work, "just go die", and such put you on the same level. Is it that he hates specific people so much, or the fact that he hates so much? I'd argue most people would argue that it's that racism spreads hate. Well so does this angry internet "political correctness". Perhaps we can all check ourselves and spread less hate for people we've never met or had to deal with, yeah? We covered the fact this guy needs a handler to make sure he doesn't say and do dumb shit. Then hope he gets help and perspective. Can we move on and not let every time someone who f***ed up become a crusade to find an argument you can easily be right about? Imagine putting this much effort into defending the undefendable.

One result on a Google search says that Sullivan basically faked the attack to avoid a drug test. The article says that NXT wrestlers only test every 3 months and when he showed up for Raw he was on the list for a random test. I don't know if the site is reputable or any of the facts presented are true. Have you still got the original article? I'm curious to see it, at least to know where it came from and who it cites, because that'd be the big answer on if it's reputable. *link deleted* Didn't want to link it initially as it seems a lot of "they say" and the like.

I was already real dubious on this because WWF Old School is not a wrestling news site I have ever heard of before. But then I open it up to "According to The Dirty Sheets" and NOPE. Big nope. Dirty Sheets is the Sportskeeda guy's podcast and not even something we can make threads about "scoops" from because they're all inane bullshit. Good on you for admitting as you share it that it's dubious instead of spreading it like fact but no this is pretty immediately bullshit from the word go.

You know political correctness can't hurt anyone if they don't feel any shame about what they've done and/or said. So perhaps it's not the best argument to try and dig up. Especially since it's become more of a dog whistle than a valid point. It also says more about the offended party than the ones who call them out on it. If Lars came out and issued an earnest statement about the situation, I think people would generally be willing to give him a chance if they believed he'd changed his views since. But all we've got so far is some vague tweet with a pretty empty apology, which also may have nothing to do with any of this and have to do with missing the shows.

Can we get this thread locked? I specifically stated in the OP that I didn't want this to turn into a huge debate and discussion on his personal views, but of course, that's literally what it turned into by the first response.
Also, the self-righteousness on both sides of the argument is f***ing disgusting and making everyone involved look like assholes. Please just lock this.

On one side: racist. On the other side: Not racists. “Racism is bad” isn’t an argument. It’s a settled fact. Like fire is hot. Anybody who feels like being on the “other side” of that “argument” isn’t debating; they’re just wrong.

WWE: We are ok with racism but not with anxiety attacks. Where are you getting that from? I don’t see anything about WWE punishing the guy for having anxiety attacks. They were still trying to give him the Cena match until recently apparently. From an outside perspective, it seems like they’ve been pretty decent in regards to Lars and his illness. That said, as always, f*** Lars forever. He should have been gone the minute his bodybuilding posts were discovered. Oh, and let’s please outlaw “on both sides”. No one should ever say those three words in that order ever again. There shouldn’t be two sides to racism. It’s bullshit and we should all be against it completely.

It was a joke because the wwe had no problem when his racist comments came out, they didn’t even sent him to some bullshit sensitivity classes like they did with Michael Hayes, they didn’t do anything to him. But once he developed the anxiety attacks, in my opinion he may lose his push because of that.
