What’s the endgame for all these different NXTs? Surely 75% of the signings won’t ever make it to the main roster.

They signed Walter and he basically has no interest in it. I think it's that they want to have an established league in each section of the world so the top young wrestlers coming up feel that working for the WWE isn't a far fetched option. Those guys who basically are always there as the lynch pins as other guys move though and on to the main roster. But of course the biggest part of this is to keep those guys away from other promotions. If it works the way they want it to work, there will be 0 competition for them in 20-30 years because the next generation will grow up seeing WWE as the only true world promotion and one that is attainable as a branch is in their backyard.

WWE's done partnerships with Japanese promotions before, including New Japan. So this isn't exactly new territory for them. But the Japanese wrestling market is already really well-established so I can't see them being that big a threat with an upstart NXT promotion against New Japan or this alliance between All Japan, Wrestle-1, and NOAH. It'd have to be a smaller promotion that'd get some benefits from a talent exchange with WWE like DDT or even Dragon Gate. That and I don't think Triple H is dumb enough to try and challenge NJPW. Just because WWE is a bigger fish on paper doesn't mean it'd be possible for them to win that fight. Yeah, I think it's more trying to get fingers in as many markets as possible than global domination of the wrestling industry or anything.

Just because WWE is a bigger fish on paper doesn't mean it'd be possible for them to win that fight. If NXT Japan tried to go head to head with New Japan in Japan, New Japan would destroy them. The initial plan is most likely not for NXT Japan to compete with New Japan, but to build WWE's following in Japan. Right now they just want a piece of the market that they don't really have. Even several of the independent feds are more popular in Japan than WWE. However, seeing how the UK companies are getting treated in their NXT deal, any organization that is even having moderate success would be foolish to align themselves with WWE, as they are likely to get stripmined. Although it will be interesting to see if NXT Japan runs against New Japan shows in the future, just to try and hurt them. I am curious to see who draws first blood between the two, because I feel it is inevitable.

no HHH selfies in front of Japanese tourist spots, that's when we know they're serious about japan.

Knew this was going to happen. This is about gutting NJPW and the market there Yea pretty obvious they want to own the world with this...when you see a guy like Walter be signed for the UK show when he basically has no interest in ever being on the main roster.
Why not the main roster? Has he never heard of the Mania payday?

Hunter is literally every EWR player that signs every worker they can possibly think of when they start a new game as WWE. Then, they quickly realize they don't have plans for 95% of these guys but also don't want to cut them because they are WWE and can afford the contract so they just have guys like Raven and Shane Strictland rotting away at home.

Real question...what Japan promotions would they want to work with, or being real what ones would be interested in working with them? Well, we can rule out New Japan as a matter of course, and it seems like All Japan, NOAH, and WRESTLE-1 are consolidating into an alliance of their own, so that feels like a long shot. Dragon Gate gave them Tozawa and Crews, and they'd be a logical path to getting into China through the OWE connection, but I don't see it. Big Japan is out, probably. That leaves DDT as the biggest option that I can't see a major barrier to. I agree with Dragon Gate. They also have ties with Gabe and Evolve, so it should be a good working relationship. I don’t know too much about OWE though, as CIMA just signed on with AEW.

I mean your Main Roster can't keep a consistent fanbase or ratings, and guys are getting so disgruntled for their horrid booking that they're asking for their releases but SURE, spread yourselves even thinner and try and monopolize wrestling because places like NJPW and AEW are trying to make it interesting for the first time in two decades
Sorry if I feel these moves are extremely petty on their part.

AEW maybe. Honestly, NJPW has a following but hasn't really done anything that'd threaten WWE much yet, outside of the MSG show with ROH, I guess.

Not sure which bugs me more. Guys napping outside of the ring, or "Let me lift your leg up and pretend I'll dump you over for like 12 minutes, because we're probably not on camera, anyway." Both make me wish most Rumbles were shorter.
