The XFL better took a lot of notes. The issue I see was they wanted to be a minor league system without getting the OK from the NFL. These are things they should of been known before week one of the season. I felt like this is what they banked on when they should have known early. So they could planned better. I felt that one year window was rushing this league to happen and was all done to try and beat the XFL to the punch. Which at first I admit was thinking the AAF would worked and taken the XFL down before it started.
Now I think maybe the XFL was smarter with taking the extra year to plan. They know the want to be a stand alone and I think they could have a better plan to being that and not so much NFL connection. If it does fold, the XFL only gains more talent access. Does it suck for the AAF? yes. The coaches and ext losing jobs sucks. Maybe some will get XFL jobs.

I don't think there's an appetite out there for a watered-down version of the NFL. Arena Football and Canadian Football succeeded because they were quirky and different from the game we're accustomed to seeing every Sunday from September through January. But leagues like the AAF and the first version of the XFL failed because they had nothing unique about them, they were just a worse version of the NFL with lesser players.
The new XFL needs to do something significant to separate itself from the NFL. I don't know what that is, but if they produce essentially the same game as the NFL, just an inferior product, the league will fold in a season.

I don't know what that is, but if they produce essentially the same game as the NFL, just an inferior product, the league will fold in a season. I've been talking about the XFL in different areas and one of the things that was brought up. I started a thread on a XFLboard about what they need to do different. The big thing I brought up is making sure the new rules they been talking about, playing around with for the last few months or so, make sense and creates excitement. I think where the AAF went wrong is the whole NFL connections because the football fans wanted something different. It's like wrestling. It would be like the AEW going on the WWE network and asking the WWE if they can use NXT talent and book there shows just like the WWE. Bad example maybe but the AAF was to much like the NFL I feel like they didn't try enough in finding new stars and went more like WCW just signing as many unsigned NFL players to build the rosters and not dip very deep in the undrafted college players that where not on an NFL roster. Then trying to bank on the NFL to either buy in or allow NFL practice squad players to play in that league. They failed because they seemed to kept changing on what they are as a league. Are we major league or minor? We now want to be minor league but pay coaches pro level but yet not have a lot of players the really going to benefit from working with the said coaches. That where the college level players would more.

I heard the majority owner say the AAF might fold soon.
Do you think the AAF will play for a second season next year, or is the league doomed?

XFL going to fail too, I’ll laugh at that one though because Vince is a monumental dumbass for sinking hundreds of millions into this bullshit idea twice.

Oh and apparently Manziel isn't playing today as he is not dressed to compete and eating some nachos. Yeah, camera is following him for some reason.

Apollos got away with 3 seconds more than when the play clock ran out.
And Singletary is hot about it. He wants it reviewed and it can't be reviewed.
Express got called for 2 unsportsmanlike conducts in a row and the ball is at the 1.

Smith runs it into the end zone for an Orlando TD. Crowd is pissed.
Singletary is yelling at the replay booth.
Orlando doesn't convert the 2.
