No mention of a succession plan? Does Vince intend to take WWE out with him? Lapsed Vince: Listen, I built this motherf***er. And I can and will take this bitch out. I conquered the business, I AM the business.

No mention of a succession plan? Does Vince intend to take WWE out with him? I honestly believe there's an outside chance he might be. Maybe not as a stated goal, but that he's willing to push on and make the show he wants how he wants it, and if that shits the bed for after he's gone, it just won't be his problem anymore to deal with, and he'll have had what he wants in the meantime. It'd go a long way in explaining way too much of what we see.

I absolutely refuse to believe there isn't some sort of succession plan in place for when Vince dies. They'll probably never talk about it until it needs to be talked about, but there's gotta be something in place. Hell, I thought that was why Hunter was given NXT and allowed to pick up more responsibilities in the first place.

No mention of a succession plan? Does Vince intend to take WWE ouf with him? That’s what confuses me. Shareholders stock dropped when Vince was implied to have died (and yes, they should have known Vince wasn’t actually dead but that’s the fundamental point), you’d think they’d at least to even be able to say “This person is taking over until we find the right kind of successor” or something. Like, Eisner leaving didn’t affect Disney that much because Bob Iger was being trained in his VP role to be the successor. Whose WWE’s Bob Iger? I feel like Stephanie is the Iger, and truthfully has been ready to take over for a long time. Say what you will about her, but there's no denying that she's A. intelligent and B. not a complete lunatic. WWE will be better, at least as a structured and functional company, as soon as she's in charge. I'm certain of that. Honestly, this idea that WWE needs Vince is some ludicrous shit. He put himself on that pedestal, and then conned the rest of the company into buying his hype. Without Pat Patterson, Vince Russo, Brian Gewirtz, and of course the performers themselves, Vince wouldn't have shit. While Russo was coming up with The Brood, Vince was coming up with Puke - a guy who vomits on command. Riveting stuff.

I would like to imagine Vince left out one teeny tiny clause ..that wont be revealed untill everyone shows up for his "funeral" in quotes of course because...head in a jar is all but guaranteed.

Vince McMahon himself personally wrote that bit about their ability to make popular characters and creative storylines, and then he proceeded to take his wang out. He keeps Jimmy Yang in his pants!?!?

WWE has such a rich tapestry of characters and history and imagery, it’s such a shame there isn’t more stuff that is taking it into different worlds outside the specific scope of wrestling. I’d have loved to play this game, or an expanded version of WWE Immortals.

Without Pat Patterson, Vince Russo, Brian Gewirtz, and of course the performers themselves, Vince wouldn't have shit. While Russo was coming up with The Brood, Vince was coming up with Puke - a guy who vomits on command. Riveting stuff. Vince was also responsible for the inception of characters like The Undertaker, Million Dollar Man, Mr. Perfect, Goldust, and Ultimate Warrior (deliberately named to flip off the Road Warriors). It's not like he's NEVER been good at creating gimmicks/ideas, it's simply that the tank has been running on fumes for a couple decades now (he'll pull a miracle out of his ass every now and then, but not many since the turn of the century). *** As for who should succeed Vince, it's obvious that the first name that comes to mind is Triple H. He has been hand groomed by Vince since he started showing up in Stanford when on injury, and allowed him to get his feet wet running a promotion with the development of NXT from gimmicky reality TV show to a legitimate promotion second only to its parent. Sure, he's not in the good graces of every single person in the back (or a handful of spiteful fans), but he's more than made up lost ground with acquisitions and the way he's been able to maintain a ludicrously high quality in talent and shows in the stuff he's been entrusted to run. Stephanie could certainly be a secondary, but she seems more inclined to be a brand officer and ambassador to charities than the day-to-day operations. Shane also seems content with remaining an on-screen character with little backstage involvement (he did leave for a while after all). Maybe that would change when Vince is gone, but I honestly doubt it. IMO, Hunter is 'best case scenario' for the future of the WWE.

I appreciate everything Vince has done for me as a fan, and I will be sad to see him go.

So like the pharaohs of old, Vince wants to be buried with his riches and servents.

Sounds like a pretty dire situation. If they lose Vince they’ll probably have to hire a team of writers.

Vince's issue is similar to, I don't know, Capcom. Capcom's created some of the greatest games and series of all time with Megaman, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, you know the works. However they've also given us Umbrella Corps, Megaman X7, Resident Evil 6 and Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor. They've given you famous characters and helped many genres improve but they've also helped promote on-disc DLC and the whole SFV fiasco.
That's like Vince. Yeah Vince was great with Undertaker and numerous other creations but he's created some of the worst stuff wrestling has ever seen and the truth is people overlook the negative in favor for the positive. People need to be looking at both as a whole to critique him.
