411mania.com/wrestling/wwe-end-brand-split-women/According to the Wrestle Votes twitter account, the WWE will slowly be ending the brand split for women. I don’t see how that’s gonna fly when they move SmackDown to Fox, maybe the women stay on one show? If that’s the case, make the tag division Raw exclusive while you’re at it.

I thought the writing was on the wall for the brand split when the tag championships were for the entire roster instead of each brand. The combined rosters on both shows just aren't big enough to sustain two world championships AND two tag championships.

Yeah between Becky, Charlotte, the McMahon's and the "free agents" just showing up on both shows whenever I figured this was slowly being phased out. Interesting given that Fox and USA both want exclusive stars.
I've always thought a soft split that are basically just two different touring groups would be better. You can switch folks out every 3-4 months to keep things fresh but all the champions appear on both shows.

Honestly I think they should just do away with it entirely. Neither show has the roster depth to justify being separate anymore.

Don't see how they plan to make this work once the FOX deal kicks in since it was said FOX is not gonna be playing ball with another network over talent they want
And that partially why they paid as much as they did for SD was because they want Ronda.

The headline of the article (and this thread) does not actually reflect what the Tweet says.

Like for example, Rollins mostly appears on Raw but it’s not such a hard rule that you’re limiting your options. Besides, Smackdown uses so little of its roster every week. This brand split has largely been a failure in terms of giving people more TV time.

Honestly I think they should just do away with it entirely. Neither show has the roster depth to justify being separate anymore. I really don't think this is actually true. They have horrendous time management. While I do agree that perhaps bouncing the women to one show and the tag titles to another show or something would be a wise choice, they do have plenty more people who are just left doing nothing on both shows, especially if you actually give the midcard something to do.

If it’s just for the women, then by all means as there’s a very limited number of people to work with. Especially when you add the tag titles in the mix.
As for an end to the brand split in general? God no. More people would be lost in the shuffle or not used at all. No ones clamoring for No Way Jose, but when there’s too many people and EC3 or even Elias get cut, it doesn’t really look too promising.

Get ready for about six women to see weekly TV in any meaningful capacity and for everyone else to just be warm bodies. We know how ending any facet of the brand split goes already and any pipe dream about them strongly shuffling around or utilizing their roster is laughable.

I still say they should give the women their own “brand”, give them the first hour of Raw name it something catchy. Then Raw can run 9-11, then maybe it won’t feel so long. Then if you don’t want watch the womans show you don’t have to, buf if you want to watch all three hours you can. Hell the woman’s hour might get better rating then the rest of Raw. It will feel like two shows like Smackdown / 205 Live.

The headline of the article (and this thread) does not actually reflect what the Tweet says. “The women’s division roster is slowly going to be crossing over more between both shows” seems like it’s saying the brand split for the women is going to be nonexistent. Sounds like planning to end it to me.

Sounds like planning to end it to me. Ending the brand split would mean all women can appear on both shows. This news is merely taking the fact that there will be only one set of tag titles to be defended on both shows and the fact that Becky and Charlotte have been appearing on Raw to mean that the brand split is ending for women.

Ehhhhhhh, do we have to? I'm fine with it with the tag titles (albeit only because they can't possibly sustain a division otherwise - I'd still try to phase it out as soon as possible) but I'd really, really rather not with the main ones.
The brands should be wholly separate whenever possible. There's no point in providing a supposed alternative if you're going to have to deal with the same people on top regardless.

I’d prefer they treat the whole roster the same.
