When Shane Douglas was in WCW in 1999 they did a knock off of Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers", which was his theme in ECW. This one is an odd case. WWE owns the Jimmy Hart version due to their purchase of WCW's assets. In the days of WWE Classics On Demand, WWE used Hart's version on ECW shows to replace the real song. When WWE Network launched, they stopped using it, much like they no longer use "Self High Five." However, it's now replaced on WCW shows by a track composed by Jim Johnston that is also clearly a ripoff of PS. It's gotten to the point that whenever I hear the intro to the real song I whisper "self high five". I wonder if the other members of Nirvana (or for that matter, Cobain's family) have heard the theme and what they think of it. I could've sworn that DDP mentioned they did hear it and didn't practically have a problem with it. I could be wrong though.

I'm in the minority, I'm sure, but I actually prefer the TNA knockoff. Not that the WCW version wasn't great.

Raven's "Come As You Are" and Jericho's "Even Flow" knockoffs were pretty cool too. It always bugged me that Raven did an Evenflow DDT but didn't have the Evenflow music.

Like all reminders of WCW theme music, this thread just made me go look up and listen to Ice Train's theme again.
