Should have ended after last season with Rick and his crew looking at a "better future" with a community and Negan in jail Big hitters have left the last 3 seasons through either on screen deaths or actors leaving Killing Carl was their biggest mistake Yeah, I honestly believe that was the catalyst for a lot of the actors and actresses involved either leaving or wanting to leave. The show would've still had strong legs with Chandler in the lead after say Rick actually died in that scenario.

He was coming into his own and what makes it worse is Carl's biggest arc was coming up where he steps up and basically is the MC for that arc over Rick
I always considered there was a chance they could kill Rick in the show but still be fine with Carl and a supporting cast but killing Carl for "shock value" really hurt them as compared to other shock deaths like Sophia, Andrea, and Dale who died way before their comic counterparts
Glenn and Abe had people upset but they were necessary deaths as their characters arcs were done but they shot themselves in the foot and with Maggie, Rick and now Michonne all leaving the show is done

I found myself enjoying season 2 a lot more when it's binged. Also has one of my favorite episodes "18 Miles Out". Same way with me. Watching season 2 week to week I almost gave up on the show. Watching it again,over a weekend,after buying the DVD set,and it went from being a D- to a C+. I still enjoy the show. Use to be either I watched each new episode live or at least the same night it aired. And now I still haven't watched the 2 episodes that have aired this month. Feels like each season has maybe 6 episodes that advance the plot and the rest are just padding. Maybe if they shortened the seasons it would help. BTW the comic is still amazing. A recent issue had a death that caused me to just sit there looking at the page for almost 10 minutes.{Spoiler} Killing Dwight had me like what the f*** as I haven't been keeping up with the comic due to not really liking the commonwealth arc {Spoiler}

I am loving the Commonwealth arc. But that death shocked me. First time TWD comic has shocked me since Laurie and Judiths deaths at the end of the prison arc. Glenn's death would have shocked me if it hadn't been spoiled thanks to a drunk dwarf messaging me about it .

I've never really watched the show, but I legit thought it had already ended. I guess me spending less time on Facebook and thus not hearing about it in every 3rd post I see probably has something to do with my assumption.

Is it season 10 now? I stopped watching about 3 years ago, but had been bitching about the show since season 4. They should keep it going and just hire Chuck Lorre to write it as a straight sitcom, where all the background actors just happen to be zombies. Like Daryl has two dates at the same time.

Andrea death was shocking too but they did draw it out for a few issues and rightfully so considering what she meant but then Kirkman still brutally killed her anyway

Just a guess, but I think Chandler was killed off because unlike the comic version of his character, he ages, and the guy who has control didn't want Carl to not be able to continue to do Carl stuff because he was 25 years old. Hence why, and I saw like 5 minutes of season 10, why you have Judith and Henry filling the Carl role.

Yes. Losing Michonne should be the nail in that show's coffin. No one wants to tune in for the Daryl/Carol power hour. The Daryl N' Carol Paryl Harol

Chandler was 19 when they killed him off the show and with as much time skips as they do it didn't matter. Hell, the whole thing doesn't really matter about age because they do a time skip over 6 years so it's not like you had to change Carl whatsoever in terms of look
Behind the scenes, he knew what the next arc was going to mean to his character and was going to hold off going to College. He actually had just bought a house in Atlanta that year because he didn't think they would kill him off but they did

I've been a Walking Dead fan since the comic first came out, and I'm pretty much done with it. I dropped the comic a few months back because I didn't find it interesting anymore and was reading simply out of habit.
As for the show, the last full episode I watched was Ricks last episode. I tuned in the next week and hated the time jump and stuff. I didn't even finish the episode. And now Maggie and Michone are leaving the show. Aside from Darryl and Carol, none of the original characters are around anymore. I don't care about all these new people they focus on.
The only Walking Dead stuff I have any interest in at this point is when they do a movie showing where the helicopter took Rick. I'll probably check that out.

I’m gonna say no. Because I’m a massive fan of the comic books and show. It’s my favourite show (hence my username haha)
Killing off Jesus was a massive mistake. He has such a big part to play in this story so to see him get killed off angered me. I think it’s probably the worst axing in the shows history... worse than Carl, worse than Andrea, worse than Merle and Shane. Jesus represents “The New Walking Dead” better than anyone.
But moving back to my original point... there’s still so many stories to do in the show. Do I want an ending? Hell yes. But the ending needs to revolve around Rick and his POV. I’m looking forward to the movies, I’m looking forward to Negan turning good and I’m enjoying The Whisperers so far. It’s not dragging on like “The Saviors” storyline which is a massive plus.
I think anyone who doesn’t read the comics probably wants it to end. Anyone who reads the comics would be devastated to see it go. Like myself.
