It bums me out that dude's going to leave without me getting that Ambrose/Nakamura feud I've been wanting.

The heel turn was buns anyway. If there was ever an angle to go back on, it'd be that one.

Yeah may as well act like the heel turn never happened at this point and keep Dean as a face on his way out.

I don't want him to go... I’m still not convinced that he is leaving I'm with you, I'm not sure he is legit going.

I liked the heel turn when it happened and I think the writing was why it flopped, but I'm thinking Dean is just better as a face. I liked the short period when they teased a heel turn. Once he really turned, that was it. I'm not saying it's his fault, by the way. I can see him being a great heel when the writers and bookers give him something to work with.

I don't want him to go... You still have faith in this promotion? At least elsewhere he would have a fighting chance to be used well.

The actual turn was good, but the moment Dean started talking about Roman’s leukemia to get heat and getting needles up his ass was when it went off the rails.

Like I said in another thread, I want every Ambrose segment from now on (until his departure) to have laugh tracks. Also, the "Woo!" sound when he shows up like Saved by the Bell.

Exactly, Ambrose was always the most popular member of the Sheild, but despite being champion, Rollins and Reigns were always booked ahead of him. Once again it's Vince thinking he knows better than the fans and going against the grain in someone that legitimately connects with the fans. While Rollins is doing well, they heavily coached him into getting better at promos and put him positions to succeed rather than fail. I remember his promos in ROH were completely awful and I never expected him to be a top guy in WWE because of it, although his in ring work was at a high level. While I was excited about Ambrose coming in, because his promo work was already very strong and he had a unique style in the ring. Back to your original point, Ambrose will be more than fine in the independents. He understands how they work and now he is more recognizable. If he does leave WWE, this will easily be their biggest loss since CM Punk. My only concern would be his health as I could only imagine the stupid things Kenny Omega and him would do in the ring together.

First time I saw Ambrose i thought he was intriguing as Hell, I thought he had the "It" factor. There was something special about him. And I was of two minds about it, I thought he had great potential but I was also scared as Hell that they would screw it up. And really that is what happened, I think the current corporate environment of the WWE prevented him to succeed, really I hought either the writers or Vince never knew how to use him. He was too much of a unique animal for them. Seems like a place like AEW would welcome "unique animals".

With Ambrose, all the WWE had to do was let him be himself, but these days Vince simply can't do that. Imagine what would have happened to Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper or Randy Savage in this era?
