It's largely shit. I still prefer my PS3, and the only game I have on my PS4 is Minecraft.

Didn’t mid-generation console revisions start in the friggin NES era? It did, though those revisions were just cosmetic and durability changes for the most part. Stuff like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X have significantly upgraded performance, though TBH most people won't really need them unless you've got like a state of the art entertainment center with a 4K TV.
Closest comparison to it previously would be those expansions that Sega especially was fond of in the 90's like the Sega CD and the 32X.

See you next Monday!
Wait, which subforum is this?
I have barely played a new game in my whole life, honestly. Gaming is an incredibly expensive hobby and particularly in the modern era things really don't age as quickly as their prices would tell you.
I usually just occasonally buy a two or three year old game that got great reviews and word of mouth, pay about £1 per hour of gameplay if the game is about £15-20, and leave happy.
My new life plan is 'buy the next gen console when it has a Fallout game,' but if they keep up this multiplayer bullshit I might not even bother with that.
