Now that Abyss is gone and Bob Ryder is silent on twitter, it’s weird that nobody from the company is defending it. All of the suck-asses are sucking up to HHH in the WWE now. lol

This is the same reason you won't be seeing AEW on TNT or TBS. But Meltzer said AEW will be in either of those networks...

Yeah, like everyone said, Schitt's Creek is good, but man, it's still got to sting to hear Schwartz say that.

This is the same reason you won't be seeing AEW on TNT or TBS. You know thinking about it Eric Bischoff did mentioned something about wrestling fans that I think makes a much better excuse and not this "brand" malarkey. I'm paraphrasing him, but has said that wrestling fans will often watch wrestling then immediately switch the channel. We're not going to stick around for Schitt's Creek, movies, or whatever non-wrestling product comes after the show. To me the idea of tv brands went out when Netflix came into being and every channel has reality tv crap on it. Now it's just attracting as many eyeballs as possible to your station.

Honestly I don't really know that that's specifically a wrestling problem. I realize one person isn't a sample size but for me at least, I see I Love Lucy or Golden Girls on Hallmark and I'll watch that shit but I reach for the remote as fast as I can soon as those shows are over.

multiple networks don't want to deal with wrestling anymore because of this company Uhhh...no, that is not true. Networks don't want wrestling (WWE being the exception), period.

So either they're idiots, because they cancelled something that got them better ratings, or yet again advertisers see wrestling as such a cancer that good ratings (for the channel, not compared to being on Spike) doesn't get you enough advertising revenue.

Now TNA is in Schitts Creek without a paddle. Hasnt Spike/Paramount loosened their stance on bringing wrestling back? I vaguely recall an interview where an executive said they would consider it if the situation was right. Now Destination America? Yeah that ship has sailed on wrestling (but that also had to do with ROH... but mostly TNA and Dixie) and Dixie was supposedly so bad to deal with where it made it difficult to get wrestling on any channel under the Discovery umbrella

I think they also had a weird meeting with Bruce Tharpe and the nwa.

Having worked in TV for many years, you'd be amazed how many people believe they're making high art and are in a serious business for people that air Maury and Jerry Springer reruns for about a quarter of their broadcasting day...
