I think it was 1995 that they began showing a guy and girl dressed in black and goth style for undertaker matches. Guy would wear turtleneck and girl would wear black lace over her head and dark makeup under the eyes.
Was anything ever supposed to come from This? They looked like they could possibly be wrestlers. We're they going to form a stable with taker as his followers? Turn on him? Just be attacked by an opponent? I read somewhere that the guy was Doug Basham but not sure if that was true. The girl looked like she could be a star too. Any ideas?

That was when ‘Taker feuded with Kama, so I think the idea was that they were there to play mind games with him. The guy always placed a black wreath at ringside.
They did get involved in the storyline heading into SummerSlam. After Kama destroyed the wreath during an episode of Superstars, the guy actually climbed over the barricade to retrieve it. Kama saw him and beat him up as the girl looked on, screaming.
I remember Vince McMahon and Gorilla Monsoon making a big deal over how fans should never attempt to cross the barricade. Kama’s actions caused Monsoon to add the casket match stipulation.

Always heard it was Shane and Stephanie.
Don’t recall what they looked like to say one way or another.

Google image search undertakers creatures of the night. Definitely not shane and steph. Yep, especially since I think Shane was doing ref work from time to time during this, anyway. I don't think it's Steph, either.

There was also this picture. Then I found this. What cracked me up was that the guy closed his eyes, while the woman behind the two looked more excited.

For a creature of the night the woman’s hair is quite light and well maintained. Is it Living Dead/Undead Girl from a few years back? On a slightly related note, was it the 94 Rumble where the whole heel locker room came out and attacked Taker? When his druids came to collect the coffin, you could blatantly see that one of them had wrestling boots on under his robes. Talk about spoiling the illusion!

That’s Doug Basham by the way Had no idea that was Basham! What's crazy is this era and Bashams on Smackdown seem like eons apart. Like, at least 2-3 generations of roster turnover, even if it was just eight years. Yet, I can totally believe someone like say Tucker Knight or Keith Lee helping Cody Rhodes distribute paper bags in 2011. Time is a funny thing.
