There is no tension to this match on sunday and really has lost what tension it did have once they swapped Becky out with Charlotte because there isn't a single wrestling fan watching that ever thought Becky was not going to be in the match at Mania so not only does this feud and match lack any tension it is also redundent.
EVERYONE knows Becky is winning sunday......but there is also no reason to even have this match because ya know BECKY WON THE RUMBLE and since Becky is good enough to actually wrestle.....why does she need to win a match to get in? where in any of this was her rumble win negated?
Funny how they will circus ole all the hoops...but yet ignore the one plot point that if they simply aknowledge it could have avoided all this complication they have created for themselves.

This could be nitpicking, but I really think someone needs to go to Charlotte and Becky and say “hey maybe one of your guys don’t wear all black tonight”. Because if I’m someone who isn’t a big time fan and I happen to tune in, I see two women dressed exactly alike and it doesn’t really catch my eye. I mean they were both wearing black shirts, black pants, black shoes, and black leather jackets. From a thousand yards, there’s nothing to separate them visually except for hair color. Just Charlotte being Bootleg Becky as usual! |

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. (Though there is an interesting argument that Becky was never as 'held back' as her story claimed. She was the first woman drafted to SDL, the first SDL champion, consistently got promo time on TV and internet-exclusive clips, she was the runner-up in all three MITB matches, she beat Charlotte clean twice even before her heel turn, she avoided having to job to Carmella like Charlotte and Asuka did, etc: ) These are both true, but keep in mind she was pretty much dominated by Alexa during their feud. Then after that ended, she did just about nothing for an entire year and a half other than have an entertaining little back and forth with Ellsworth on Twitter. She did get screwed out of MITB a couple times by Carmellsworth in 2017, but nothing came of that to the disappointment of a lot of people here.
Yes, I remember being annoyed by Becky winning that match when Alexa really had her foot on the rope. However, its worth remembering that she would likely have had a successful title defense at No Mercy 2016, but she was mysteriously injured (we still don't know the cause) and didn't wrestle at that show.

Yeah, that's true. I do think they just fell in love with Alexa during that feud and started seeing Becky as the woman you use to make the women you want to be stars look good. |

Dear Vince,
you don't need to have Becky on EVERY Raw and Smackdown.
she should've been away for weeks after being suspended but comes right back saying "the Man is back on Smackdown live" when she never WENT anywhere (yes that still bugs me).
Charlotte could have cut a promo mid-show, and been done with it. As others have said this entire segment was unnecessary.
That being said it's almost written in stone Ronda is bringing the DQ on Sunday.

Knowing the way wwe thinks she’ll have the knee injury till mania and then the match will be 35 minutes of Charlotte and Ronda working on the knee to the boredom of the audience like HHH vs Seth a few years ago.

The fortunes of wrestling, hm? Becky Lynch, long-time downtrodden under the heel of management and the rest of her division, is now the oppressor herself. Which is why they should have kept her "injury" semi kayfaybed, Play it up as real and leave people wondering if she'll actually be cleared for WM or if once again Charlotte gets a title match handed to her. Have her return 2 maybe 3 Raws before WM, Rousey V Flair seems like a set thing. Becky comes hobbling in with a crutch, fakes out both of them lays out Charlotte with it as Ronda escapes maybe showing some fear. Charlotte is too hurt to be in the match have a stip thou, Because Becky almost cost WWE of a main event should she lose the match She'll be fined some crazy amount and be forced to be a bell ringer or ref for some long time. Gives you an easy out for the next PPV where heel Charolette is enraged and face Becky taunts her with how it feels to lose what you know should be yours. |

Today even when the crutch was yanked away she didn't really sell her leg. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that she's playing it up or something else. The fact that she needed the crutch to get Charlotte down helped but yeah there was no reason Becky should have come out on top in that exchange. I was genuinely surprised she looked so strong on the go home show for Fast Lane.

They really need to go back and watch the austin stuff again because they only seem to remember bits and pieces as they’ve stolen the austin’s hurt and needs to sign a waiver to let wwf off the hook,Austin beating up the boss and getting arrested but they forget that back then everything was done to get austin over more as a badass babyface who always have a plan and rarely got outsmarted and the rare times he did he came back the next night and beat ass in very unique ways.They never had Austin begs the boss to let him wrestling or apologize.They also didn’t make it a 3 way at Mania 14.I keep thinking the way they’ve booked this that they’ll do the mania special when they got a the babyface the fans want they have her win a 3 way and then feud with Kane or whatever the women’s division equivalent is maybe Tamina so they can cool her off more. |
