Did I miss something? I thought Drew was thought of better than this, at least during the Dolph partnership.

At least it's not Corbin. I'd legit rather watch Corbin. At least he has a decent finisher, music that doesn't make your ears bleed, and something resembling mic skills. Agreed. I strongly dislike Corbin but at least he has a certain "Goober Factor" where watching him get destroyed is highly satisfying. Drew's just a boring, angry, bearded dude in black trunks that doesn't feel natural at all.

That reminds me of someone else. I wonder wHHHo it could be? I can't see any single metric in which Drew is anywhere near as good as Triple H. Even promo-wise they're not even close and Triple H is one of the last people I'd be inclined to praise the mic work of most of the time. HHH always had the look of a star (well at least after he roided up) but was painfully average at everything. Jack of all trades master of none. If he didn’t have the Stephanie storyline in 1999/2000, who knows where he would have been. Drew doesn’t have H’s mic skills but everything else I could see similarities. HHH was getting crickets as a main eventer too until late 99/2000.

If they're actually prepared to push someone... anyone... as a main event level heel then I'll be content enough. God knows, there's no one else on Raw who is remotely credible as a threat to the Shield guys.
But if they are going to push Drew, then they need to put some interesting guys around him, to liven the faction up. Corbin and Lashley ain't it.

People dont like to admit, but Dolph elevated Drew and was the reason he got any reactions.

Remember when Drew utterly murdered Angle, and it seemed like he was headed tot he main event. But he just sort of hung out in the Inverse Ninja Rule squad of heeldom.
I'm guessing the exact same thing is going to happen here.

I like Drew. But I don’t like when WWE pushes people that aren’t over. And Drew is not over.

I mean if it’s more of how he was last night, I’m hopeful. If he’s a generic baddie it will be like watching paint dry.
