Ooh, friendslist benefits. I feel like cracking jokes, but I'll refrain. Anyone on PS4 who's playing can feel free to add me, I'm RaveBlack.

So for those of lucky enough to play on xbox if you change your location to australia you can play ahead of the US release window of midnight tonight.
Needless to say been playing all morning and holy f***ing I love this game...barely gotten into the story so far just doing every single side quest that pops up....and I been playing since 11am this morning and have not even scratched the surface of the game yet....I expect once midnight hits and everyone gets on all the things like friendlist benefits will kick in.
THE GUNS FEEL SO GOOD! and the AI for the bandits are pretty f*** amazing....they will run and hide behind cover when being shot at and one really cool thing is if u lob grenades at them they will literally dive to the floor lol

Getting the game in the morning...and then having to wait until Sunday night to play it because I'm going on a weekend vacation with the missus to Atlantic City.
Sigh, lol

Came back from a quick trip into town today to discover my copy left on my doorstep. I expected to wait a few days at the very least. Cringed a little at the season pass price tag. Yeesh at that. PSN started charging sales tax not too long ago, so it's even worse. I have a tradition of playing any Siren character first, so I tried out Amara for a bit. She's fun, but not my style, so I shelved her and moved over to FL4K. Mr. Chew the skag (I adore that this deep-voiced, badass robot named their skag pet Mr. Chew), the flame rakks, and I have been working our way through enemies ever since. {Spoiler}I can't shake the thought that Zane looks a hell of a lot like an aged-up Handsome Jack.

Been playing for a couple hours now and it's a blast.
I do miss the old Claptrap voice actor, but I understand why he left.
Playing FL4K, and it's okay so far. Went with Jabber, and invisibility, but not sure I'm feeling the latter. But the image of a little creature running around shooting a pistol is just fantastic.
If I end up not digging it I'll go with my 1b choice, Flynt.

With FL4K's pets, you have to consider that each has both a passive effect and an active effect. Right now, I'm running with Mr. Chew for the increased damage passive, but if I needed it, there's the spiderant (Broodless, I think it was) for increased health regen or the jabber (something with Meat, think it was Meat Eater) for increased speed. I'm free to mix and match action skills and pets as well. Fade Away and the jabber's speed boost would be great for stealth or hit and run-based builds, while pet-heavy builds would benefit best from Gamma Burst. I'm enjoying Rakk Attack's multiple uses and fairly quick cooldown, but I'm still in the early game, so if I needed to switch it up I can also do that. I absolutely love that we get multiple action skills in this game, as I'm not stuck with something I'm hardly going to use (Lilith, looking at you and your freaking phasewalk I only used as an escape measure).

Have I mentioned how much I love this game because gawd damn am I loving this game.
Been pretty much non stop for me and I have only recently gotten to eden 6 and let me just say the game up to that point has been gorgeous beginning to end but seeing eden 6 in all its lush glory is amazing the art design team out did themselves with this planet just stunning.
Been doin side quests along the way and finding those tydon delion logs takes its own bit of time to find especially ones u gotta climb to find but it is a fine challenge as are the others.
And if this play through is anything to go by the second play through is gonna get even crazier what with earning guardian ranks and start the legendary farming

The premium keenfire XXL is a gawd damn LIFESAVER of a gun froom tediore.
They say corrosive(the version I have) only works on robots ...not here this thing shreds bosses like nothing else and I am playing on normal on my first playthrough but also I am a siren that benefits from huge elemental buffs so that is no doubt helping but this gun for only being a purple is a boss killer.

FINALLY have finished the main story...and no spoilers I f***ing loved it especially the very ending.
I agree with majority that the calypsos were not on HandSome Jacks level but that is so unfair to them as that was a bar that outside of pure perfection was never going to be reached
I will say that the overall story here IMO was much stronger than in the previous games there is so much to take in and the areas are gawd damn HUGE and really shows why Borderlands is the top tier of Looter Shooters.
All in all it was an amazing main campaign and they set up a potential part 4 beautifully and gawd damn ima wait as long as it takes to get to it.
Cannot wait to play through it again on new game + but for now it will be about getting into the end game now and farming all the legendaries and hittin the lvl cap.
Congrats gearbox ignoring the business end or whatever you have created another masterful entry in a beloved series amazing.

Amara's screams are rather annoying when she takes elemental damage, even though I like playing as her. {Spoiler}Lorelei sounds like Rhea Ripley, LOL. The Sanctuary and Droughts tracks are nice.

Spec'd into Master/Stalker trees, focusing on boosting both my and my skag's damage and health. I'm using the Great Horned Skag for the gun damage boost and have both the radiation aura and duration boost augments slotted for Gamma Burst. Got my hands on the class mod that allows me to second wind my pet with a kill, which also adds several points in the skill that boosts pet benefits. Mr. Chew destroys everything save for most bosses, and still puts a good dent in some of those. It's pretty ridiculous. {Spoiler}Cleared the way to Eden 6, that boss fight was nuts. And MAYA NO!

One of the things I really appreciate in terms of visuals is how the various brands of guns really have vastly different aesthetics now. I mean, they already had different styles before, but you could still tell they were based off the same bases. Now they really look very different, which adds to the feeling that there are various cultures within this universe. And of course, being a hue Steampunk fan my favourites are Jackobs. Some of their guns actually give me ideas for my own designs: Although with that said, Torque never fails to impress either:

I know what a beast of a gun this was in BL2 and while I never really bothered with it then , in BL3 it has become my go to now it is an absoloute monster of a gun Although idk if it is a text glitch or what but the damage is always changing from like 243x5 to 535x4 , it does not feel like the damage changes but just a strange thing about the text of the gun.

So I got to Graveward, spent entirely too long on the damn bullet sponge and my game crashed halfway through the fight. Probably going to put the game down for a couple days because it really pissed me off. The boss fights are too damn long.

It is actually nerfed now his life bar is redused by like 30 percent because I remember doing that fight during release week and holy f*** it was like a 15min fight it is definetly the longest fight in the game the first time around. But here the funny thing is you will be returning to this fight even if u hate it now because it is a very popular farming spot and because he drops like 4 legendaries every run.

Played the whole series, but am a tiny bit fatigued Yes absoloutley The gun play feels amazing , the story is a lengthy but fun play through and the end game stuff is great to run through and play around with when you start really farming for end game gear and there is ALOT to farm for and try out and playing around with all builds you will come up with every single time you across a new relic. They are currently trying to iron out all the issues with small hot fixes in between bigger matches. And the first of the free DLCs is dropping soon so there is that to look forward to and the raid bosses will eventually be coming as well. There is plenty to do now and more to do with all the DLC to come like again raid bosses and inevitable level cap increases , new guns etc.

So I got to Graveward, spent entirely too long on the damn bullet sponge and my game crashed halfway through the fight. Probably going to put the game down for a couple days because it really pissed me off. The boss fights are too damn long. Oh jeez, Graveward. I met that stage-shifting bastard today. He's actually not too hard if you know what to do and take advantage of all the drops the adds provide, but holy crap is he a bullet reef. That took forever! I also met Buff Film Buff today and LOL'd so hard. So in the spoiler below, I'm going to talk more about how to take on the Graveward. {Spoiler}First off, make sure you have enough reserves for a drawn-out fight. He's a bullet reef with tons of health. If you can reliably hit his weak points (glowing spots, three in the head, three in the torso, possibly more), you might be able to down him quicker, but he's almost constantly moving so that's a challenge. I'm assuming incendiary would work best given his unarmored/unshielded state, but honestly, anything will do as long as it does decent damage and you're patient enough. I used a Cloud Kill. All I had for incendiary was a Sellout and the bullet consumption on that is not ideal in the slightest for this kind of fight. I'm assuming one will have better stuff on a repeat trip, but this was my first time in, sooooo...
When he tips the stage, there are two holes, one at each side, you can hide in. The acid rocks will roll right over you. Alternately, you can stop the slide with repeated jumps, but you'll more than likely be hit by those rocks, and they will fling you in the air and take a huge chunk out of your health.
Be sure you are out of the hole as soon as the stage is righted, because he's going to set it on fire with a spread attack. He's got several of those. Usually you can dodge them if you keep your back to the door you came in from.
I haven't figured out how to properly dodge the fist attacks. I think you can slide out of the way, but I haven't tested it. I took 'em on the chin, they didn't damage me too much and FL4K's health regen plus the health vials the adds kept dropping healed me right up.
He'll start employing beam attacks once he's down to 2/3rds of his health. Thankfully they're fairly rare, but keep away from those.
Like I've said above, he's got a ton of adds and they drop a ton of stuff. I scrambled all around that stage to keep myself in bullets and didn't run out even once.
