Pretty much goes along with all the posts I see here "TNA ain't terrible like it used to be anymore". So that's a positive at least. Now if they could just get some actual buzz again. It's going to be REALLY tough to do that now, especially with AEW being the new hotness signing the guys and girls that were helping Impact when it was at its lowest. They need some serious star power and a loyal contingency willing to commit to exclusive deals, and to be quite honest I'm not sure they have the financial power to keep up with the others. Honestly at this point Impact would be best served staying in its lane and in the future reaching out to the likes of MLW, ROH, or maybe even the NWA at some point. Build some relationships and keep the focus on gradual outreach.

They're smartly staying in their lane & not trying to go too big, which was a big mistake last time they tried.

I'm glad. Impact definitely deserve it. 2018 was a real solid B grade year for them.

Like I said in the Jarrett As A Creative thread: TNA busting out of WWE. Wow! Dixie's had some work done.

Yes, in 2012. Ironically speaking the head booker was Bruce Prichard and now he is a Senior VP in the E.
Can someone explain me how LU is worse than ROH?

AAA should’ve won it based only for Vampiro farting in commentary and the abortion that was Triplemania AAA (and Impact for that matter) really don't deserve "worst promotion" votes any more. They're not bad. AAA is one of my favorite promotions right now.

ROH is so middle of the road nobody's really hating it, while LU has recently been the center of a lot of controversy over the stuff they've been doing contract-wise with people.

How has it taken this long for WWE to be considered worst promotion? 2006 was their last.

Vampiro farting made my day.
However, I thought it was going to be something to the effect of him literally announcing "I have to fart" and then passing wind in the headset.

Impact have been signing guys to new deals recently. Anthem are loaded I'm not sure people get that they have financial clout. They're just not going to pour money down the toilet like Dixie/Jarrett managed to persuade others to do, they're only going to do what makes sense to them financially. This is what frustrated Jarrett to the point he got fired by Anthem (amongst other issues) AEW aren't signing guys left and right like people are saying they are either. The ones who are going to suffer from AEW are Ring of Honor and New Japan too (their show in Dallas at the AT&T Center has bombed in terms of ticket sales so far). They've lost their top draws.

It was weird this year for any promotion to win the award but someone had to. WWE wasn't bad in my opinion, at least compared to legitimately bad promotions like WCW in 2000 or TNA in 2010. NXT is great. Smackdown is usually good. RAW is the biggest problem, but that's partly just the time. It's clearly imperfect with a lot of flaws, but match quality is still at an all time high with women's wrestling getting a ton of spotlight that it should have gotten a long time ago. Their talent pool is also one of the deepest I've ever seen. It's probably more accurate to say they were the least good promotion this year.
