WTF? Look at this card on paper. HHH, Batista, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, John Cena, with the McMahons all over the show.
And, they could potentially trot out HBK, Road Dogg, XPac, Jeff Jarrett, Booker T, all of whom will be in the building. Plus you know there's going to be a Honky Tonk Man segment with Elias. Maybe the Rock shows up. Stone Cold. Hogan. This is just TOO MUCH.
They should move NXT Takeover to Thursday, then on Friday do WWE Flashback, featuring all the stars of yesteryear in 20 minute promos and slow, boring matches. Get this shit over with on another show, then WM can be booked properly.
At this rate, the Andre battle royal will have to be inter-gender, just to save time. Just throw all of the current men and women wrestlers in there at once, get them their 45 seconds of screen time then move on to the legends matches. Give me a break.

I'm not going to lie, it kind of pisses me off that we get all these 'so-and-so wants one last match at Wrestlemania' stories. Oh really? You do? Tough shit, that doesn't work for the card. That should be the WWE's outlook on this.
Batista? Fine. He's a big name and he was wasted last time they brought him in. But Angle? I couldn't give a shit if he wants one big Wrestlemania match to go out on. Who does that help? Especially if he wrestles Cena, who is pretty much done now as well. There is no justification for legend vs legend matches, because anyone who is going to be excited about Angle vs Cena was probably going to be watching Wrestlemania anyway.

It really is a shame that WWE have made WrestleMania into the only show that actually matters. Honestly, I think it would be better for both Kurt Angle and The Undertaker to end their respective careers at Survivor Series as that is where they both debuted. I think it would be nice to bookend their careers that way. |

It's like this every f***ing year. Triple H and Undertaker are considered main events on par with the World title matches.
Vince decided not to number the WrestleManias anymore because it makes it look old, but then half the guys on the card were adults when the first WrestleMania aired.

Think about this. At WM 12, they showcased a parody match between the Huckster and the Nacho Man, who at the time were about 43-44 years old. They mocked them as dinosaurs using walkers.
Look at today's ages, Batista is friggin 50!!! HHH is 50! Kurt Angle's 50! Taker's 53! And I would argue that no one is buying a ticket to see these guys. If Batista/HHH never happened I don't think the buyrate would suffer one bit.
In fact, a returning Enzo Amore in a crazy battle rap with Zack Ryder would generate more of a buzz and have more impact than any of these pointless legends matches that get nobody over and help no storylines.

Does the NFL feel that way about the Super Bowl? Or the fact next year is the 100th Season of National Football League play? I mean that's one of the very baffling decisions Vince has made. |

I’d say that they’re doing it a little better this year at least. Batista and HHH are tied up together, Brock is still legit, a Kurt farewell match is to be expected, and Cena can still go and is relevant,
Hopefully they don’t drag Taker’s old tired ass out there though.
On the plus side they’ll eventually have to use the young guys because they haven’t really built many people up to that level since those guys. lol

WrestleMania hasn't been a plan for the future show in years, it is the greatest hits they can sell to a metropolitan area for a large sum of money. Yeah, they'll trot out their new single but most aren't there for that, they just want the experience and to see them play their greatest hits.
That is why they see being in a storyline with one of the McMahons, Lesnar, Hunter, Cena, Taker, or one of the celebrities as someone bring in a main event spot. Those are considered the draws and they may be right at this point. It's not going to work out for them in the long run but they feel they have to please people now.
