Honestly, the make or break for me is going to be how Stadia holds up on mobile data. I've got my gaming PC for home (and frankly, my Switch for travel), but if I could just take my phone, which I have with me anyway, and the controller and play a game without the dedicated game system, that's where I see the value.

The $129.99 pricepoint for the Founder's Edition actually isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be. When you take into consideration you're getting a $69.99 Chromecast Ultra and two sets of three months of the service for $29.97 (minus tax), you're basically paying $30 for a bluetooth-enabled controller that has a built-in Google Assistant. Even if Stadia shutters, I'll still have the physical products I can use. Nobody is going to force you to pay for games at full retail, and if they're smart about it they'll have enough on the service to satiate your wants. If you love the game, buy the regular copies from GoG/Epic/Steam/Origin/etc. and enjoy yourselves. I'd rather a legitimate Netflix-style system option out there than to continue to stagnate, especially for those games I'd otherwise not pay to try out otherwise (I've relied on Humble Bundles and Twitch Prime for those, lol).

Yeah, considering that you're basically playing a next gen for free on basic, 130 bucks for an extra device to play on, a controller, and the subscription service for a few months I'd say it's not a bad deal. Hope this ends up working well, and not just because I'll be able to play Elder Scrolls Online or Assassins Creed Odessey on my work computer lol.
