Shame they basically completely deny the existence of the N64 Castlevania games because I'd like to see Legacy of Darkness on there.

Belmont's Revenge and not Simon's Quest is a damn weird decision. Also gotta figure that Contra: Hard Corps is on that Contra collection.
Kinda doubt that we get Rondo of Blood for the CV collection considering they put it and SotN on a collection already called Castlevania Requiem. Though Bloodlines or especially Legacy of Darkness would be a nice surprise.

Honestly, I think they'll probably do Classicvania focus for the first collection and Metroidvania for the next compilation. Symphony of the Night, the GBA titles and the DS games are an easy sell for Castlevania Collection II.

For Contra, I wonder if Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra will make the cut. Those games were actually fun. I still have them for the PS2. Also, I don't see how it would make sense for Super Contra and Super C to be in there, but not the NES version of Contra, unless that will only be released for the Switch. But why have both versions of Super Contra on there anyway?

I used to love playing Contra 3 back in the day. I'll have to pick up the Contra Collection when I see it for a decent price.

Having not played both together in awhile, ARE Super C and Super Contra different enough from one another? I could see how they'd think NES vs. Arcade Contra are too similar, but who doesn't want to rock the Konami Code again for 30 lives? Now, it's curious that they passed up on NES Contra here AND on the NES Classic lineup. What's up with that? Oh well, always liked the arcade version more, mainly for the improved soundtrack. Salamander had better have a toggle so you can change it to Life Force if you want. Come to it, Gradius was worthy of getting its own entry here. (Gradius, Salamander/Life Force, the SNES only Gradius III, PARODIUS...) I know just where Hit-Monkey is coming from (certain 4-6 player beat 'em ups with famous characters) I'd even take the Crime Fighters games. This game pretty much was just button mashing all day, with none of the technique other wrestling games had, but for nostalgia, how about The Main Event (WWE might come after them concerning TME's knockoff characters...) Not only that, but maybe a sports themed chapter with Double Dribble, Blades of Steel, Bottom of the 9th, wasn't Run 'n' Gun Konami too? Think they had a racing game as well. And TRACK & FIELD ANYBODY? ?? As for other arcade games...Time Pilot, Gyruss, Devastators, Lethal Enforcers, Rush 'n' Attack/Green Beret, and isn't Frogger technically Konami as well? So many memories! I can go on all day dreaming, can't I?

What is up with the Famicom (or even NES) Contra? To my knowledge, it has never been released in any format after the fact. It's always Super C or the Contra arcade game. I mean, the arcade one is fun and all, but the home version is superior in every way except graphics.

Those aren't the Konami arcade games I want. Damn licensing. As a major beat-em-up mark, I was hoping for Crime Fighters, Vendetta, and Violent Storm to make the cut. I guess that they weren't popular enough. Bummer.

I think it was on Konami compilation for PS2 or something, and was definitely an unlockable on Contra 4

If I had to guess, the other four games on that Contra collection would be Operation C, Hard Corps, Contra ReBirth, and either Shattered Soldier or Contra 4.
My guesses for the 4 remaining CV games would be Bloodlines, Simon's Quest, and two from The Adventure ReBirth, Rondo of Blood (original or PSP remake), Legacy of Darkness, SotN, or Castlevania Chronicles.
If they wanted to troll us, as Konami is wont to do, we'd see Contra Force and Dracula XX on both collections.

Rondo and SotN probably aren't happening, due to the Sony Exclusivity they paid for when they published Requiem.
Unless that was just time-limited.
I'd like to see Castlevania X68K in there, and think it's got enough differences from the NES game to warrant an inclusion.
Also, if Hard Corps ends up in the Contra Collection, restore the ability to take 3 hits per life that the Japanese version had.
