The thing is, Paige's initial run was in that awkward period between the Divas Era and gang wars. They wouldn't have done it during gang wars because they were allergic to one on one matches during that time. By the time they were back to doing singles matches and might have used her Paige was gone for reasons ranging from bad life choices to legit injuries so there wasn't really a time it could have happened even if WWE had wanted to do it.

Yet wwe didn't have a problem with ivory or Jackie in the ring in their 50s. Both are older than Paige's mom

Besides the McMahons, I don't really remember matches between parents and children being a thing in WWE.

This is one of those matches that gets brought up from time to time and I just never saw the appeal of. Ah yes, like Baron Corbin versus anyone.

She's 47, and yeah, she's had her struggles: Paige vs. Saraya may or may not have been a WrestleMania-worthy match, but it would've been good TV any other time of the year.

You've got Miz's Dad, a man who can't even emote, forming a big part of a storyline leading into Wrestlemania.
With the proper build, I can't see why this couldn't have been an interesting WM match. Though my head tells me that the only chance this ever had of happening would have been an NXT angle or a B-PPV match.

Given the succes of Fighting With My Family,it would be silly of them not to let her have a match or 2 in the Mae Young classic this year or to give her a spot in the Preshow battle royale at WM.

They were current WWE superstars at the time. Saraya Knight has never been in WWE, and aside from being "Paige's mom" isn't really even that well known of a wrestler in the United States. She's like a British cult favorite, which hardly makes someone worthy of a match at Wrestlemania. People would've taken "Current Superstar vs Their Parent" over this. No way man. Chester McCheesington is the greatest thing that ever happened.

I feel like it would be more likely we'd get them teaming up at some point. Missed opportunity, regardless. Like, whether or not people knew about her mom, the Memphis mantra holds true, "Personal issues sell tickets". Having a parent who is also a wrestler can be a major asset for an angle.

The perfect time would have been in the middle of the Bellas feud, just having Paige say "I'm telling my mum on you" Next week The Bellas are busy with some promo laughing at her and calling her a Mummy's girl etc... Then Saraya walks out and they immediately realise the concept of regret.

This is one of the biggest lost opportunities ever. Just repeat the Shimmer storyline with them as a team with Saraya turning on her after a loss. Then a blood feud. Could have been money.
