Alex Kozlov aka Peter Orlov was a huge loss to the wrestling world when he decided to retire.
I've never seen the man wrestle but I liked the look of TAC / TAK from FCW back in the day.
From modern day NXT, the Revival / AOP / Sanity and about a half dozen others were so "can't miss" that I have had to redefine the term can't miss.

Exactly as the title says, who were the people in FCW and NXT that stood out to you, and you think could have been bigger? I'll get the most obvious one out of the way: Richie Steamboat. He had the ring skills, he had the pedigree, he was good-looking, he had virtually everything that made his dad a star going for him. He was in a pretty high-profile feud with Kassius Ohno, and he was Seth Rollins's former tag partner and roommate, so that could have given him a future feud with the Shield, where maybe he would try to get Rollins to "come to his senses". They could have done Steamboat & Rollins vs. Ambrose & Reigns, or, after the group's face turn, he could have been a sort of honorary member. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious back injury in training because of DeMott's reckless training regiments in developmental (which also lead to his father leaving the company), and retired. NXT also seemed eager to expand the Wyatt Family, and while there were a number of people who were teased but never made it (Audrey Marie, Garrett Dylan, Viktor in a promo class video), the one that stands out to me the most was Judas Devlin. While he wasn't as big as Harper or Rowan, he was still 6'5" and 235 lbs, not small by any means. And if you've ever seen him as Vibora in Lucha Underground or Luchasaurus elsewhere, he can work. But what stood out to me the most was his background. Before becoming a wrestler, he was a professor of history at the University of Berkeley. He has a master's degree in medieval literature. In short, he's a smart, well-educated guy. The exact kind of guy you don't expect to join a cult. In fact, he's the kind of guy you expect would see through a cult leader's lies and tricks. And if a guy like him can fall under Wyatt's sway, then exactly how persuasive is Wyatt? Adding him to the Family would have not only added a smaller, more agile member to add some variety, but he could easily have been used as a Mouth of Sauron-type mouthpiece for the group, acting as the Herald for the Eater of Worlds. Sadly, again, DeMott f***ed that up by telling the writers not to add Devlin to the group and making homophobic remarks about him, and he eventually got released before he could ever get a spotlight. So who else did you guys see pass through developmental who you thought had promise, but never delivered, either due to backstage BS, unfortunate injuries, or just not being that good in the ring? After the ROH TV taping last Saturday we saw a bunch of the guys at the TGIFRIDAY's. My girlfriend thought Luchasauraus was handsome. I said, "really? He looks like a college professor." I swear I had NO IDEA that he actually WAS a college professor. He looked like a giant cosplaying Steve Jobs. 😂

Is there any footage of Melted Man? He only ever had one TV match in FCW, against Bo Rotundo (later Bo Dallas), which doesn’t appear to be on YouTube at first search. Although, the weird trivia you find of weird as f*** house show results... Buck Dixon was on a winning team with the following people under different identities... Ricardo Rodriguez, Bray Wyatt and Tyler Breeze (as well as someone named Kenny Li, who I guessed washed out quickly too), over the team of Big E, Darren Young, James Bronson, Silent Rage from that weird Austin season of Tough Enough... and ROMAN REIGNS.

I posted a tag match he had that I believe was also in FCW. Unfortunately the camera work for the clip was really crappy. I remember the match also had Rowan and some guy that got arrested for either beating or killing his girlfriend. It’s somewhere around on the boards but damn if I can find it.

I did some googling and found that match. He's not a bad worker to be honest.

Meltman should have had a main roster run where he was booked like a slime-type enemy from a role playing game. He'd be immune to almost all standard bashing attacks, and could only be beaten by piercing-style moves like the backstabber or codebreaker.

Jake Carter just curious how he would have turned out Him sharing a name with Miz’s character from the Marine films could’ve led to something with Miz.

I could see Luchasaurus getting another shot in NXT with how much both he and developmental have improved over the years. He impresses the hell out of me almost every time I see him. Unfortunately it’s a little hard for me to take him seriously after seeing how much of a baby he is in real life when he was on Big Brother. Could still be a great pickup for one of these bigger companies though.

Good call on Devlin. I quite liked his Seth Hardy look. DeMott fxxxing sucks, doesn’t he? I don't know shit about this Devlin dude, but this Luchasaurus gimmick looks badass. The name is pretty stupid, but take the same look and give it a better name, as long as he's a decent worker, it's gold. There’s a wrestler called Luchasaurus??? No keep that. Thats money. This is why I love wrestling. He’s my new favorite wrestler. He needs to tag with Shark Boy.

How about Oliver Grey? Dude seemed to be a pretty big deal in early NXT. He's in the Undisputed Era. But actually, Grey went back to the UK and mainly just trains/wrestles there now from what I saw on his Twitter account.

Count Franklin Furter.
Actually I have no idea if he was even remotely decent, the fact that he even existed makes him an all-time legend.
