So, what if WWE really end up doing all the happy endings?

By that, I primarily refer to the main three matches and their winners being Lynch, Kingston and Rollins, but this would also largely apply to Angle v Corbin and probably Reigns v McIntyre, whatever Asuka’s match is and (assuming they do it) Demon Balor v Lashley... Most of the other matches have multiple happy outcomes through both/multiple opponents being generally beloved (Joe v Mysterio, Styles v Orton (because their feud is actually good right now), women’s tag belts where people generally like Banks/Bayley and/or The IIconics, assuming they’re in it).

How would you feel?

I don't think WWE should get praise for just pulling off the bare minimum of "tell have a good show and not shit the bed" but at this point if I can leave my friend's place not feeling miserable that'll be a good show. WWE's become a heel territory the past while andn ot even really in a good way, it's just really dreary and glum.

They could so some heel wins throughout the show, but not having Becky and Kofi go over would be maddening. Rollins should win too, but more because we don't need another second of absentee champion Lesnar than anything to do with Seth.

Happy endings for the majority isn't the same as happy endings to me, necessarily.

I'm pulling for Becky because I think they've practically booked themselves into a corner where it's the only thing that makes sense.

I'm pulling for Daniel Bryan because I'm enjoying his heel run and think he's a better champion than Kofi would be.

Lastly, I hope Lesnar beats Rollins just because I think Rollins is too "meh" right now and dethroning Lesnar should be a bigger deal.

With the feuds they've got going on, it almost has to be this way for most of them. Lesnar probably isn't losing to Rollins and I could definitely see Corbin getting the rub from Angle (assuming they don't have something else planned), but Kingston and Lynch almost have to win with all the shit they've gone through to get to 'Mania.

So count on all faces losing.

Due to the build, the main three are must-haves, so I'd give Vince credit for peeking outside his deranged bubble and understanding the obvious.

Each is a special level of awful if the babyface loses. Lesnar going over would feel like the days of WCW's decline where they couldn't stop beating the dead nWo horse, repeating the same one-note angle for years past the point the fans wanted it to end. Becky losing would be an awkward Luger situation, only worse, since she is the fans' chosen one and it'd be a terrible payoff to her Austin-esque rise. And Kofi losing would be Booker T with even more backlash, especially after working in the low key racial commentary.

There's more wiggle room with everything else, I think. There's still time to swap out Corbin for a different opponent and have Kurt put over a younger talent who's well liked. Reigns/McIntyre is pretty freshly started, so it could end in some wild no-contest brawl and continue the program after Mania. I'd give strong wins to Joe and Orton as well, and heels could win both battle royals.
