I agree with OP. He's not saying the move looks fake. I think a lot of you arent getting it. He's saying it looks like the opponent is doing a move to him and I agree. I watch it with my mom and her reaction when it happens is oh no Kofi got hurt. So yeah, it's confusing.

I won't say he should ditch it, because it's a pretty cool little move for a false finish, but if he's ever in a really long match again like last weeks Gauntlet where he was clearly too tired to pull it off properly and landed on his own head, then yeah don't do it.

But it... puts the opponent directly into a pinning position? Which is supposed to be the point of the entire contest?
It looks exactly right: something that knocks the wind out of a dude and disorients him for long enough to get pinned.

I'm not very into it, but I just usually am not that into rollup finishers. I think it's fine, though, the Trouble in Paradise is better, provided he's not f***ing up and almost taking Miz's head off his shoulders.

Has he ever actually pinned anyone with it?

Has he ever actually pinned anyone with it? Plenty of times. Offhand pinned someone, think it was Cesaro, last week.

I don't think there is a lack of understanding of that for some at least, because the point is that regardless of any issue with the move, it's over, and that means it doesn't matter whether it's confusing or stupid or fake looking.

It is basically a leaping Gannosuke Clutch, and I f***ing love the Gannosuke clutch. I love the SOS too, but when it is botched it looks really ugly.

Not only do I disagree that he should ditch it.
I think it should be his main finisher instead of his usual big spot that gets kicked out of.
