Update; It’s been nearly a full month of baseball. I’m still in full-blown FU temper tantrum mode over Bryce Harper, and I have yet to watch a single pitch of Giants baseball. Really opens up your nights when you don’t have baseball to care about. He’s batting .250 with a WAR of .2 I don’t think he’d be the missing piece betweeen winning and losing in the end

But at least there would be the chance of something exciting to happen.

As a Dodgers fan nothing outside of a championship matters but it's been really fun to watch Bellinger grow into what he's doing now.

The Yankees need to do something with Gio Urshela when everyone is back and it's gonna be a tough decision.

For now, if Andujar comes back and is purely DH/1B then they may have Gio more time (as long as he is hitting) and go back to using DJ as the super utility guy like they wanted

Went the the Mets game tonight. The pitching is killing me, man.
Still a fun (and cold) experience. Really awesome that I got to experience two games this week in different countries.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he was part of the trade that also gave the Mets Thor, right?

Giving Chris Sale a 5 year contract extension without seeing him pitch this season is REALLY starting to look like a bad idea.

Can't judge a 5 year deal on one month but he will figure it out and he's not the only problem on a Red Sox team that is in the biggest championship hangover i've seen in a min

Well the moment has been going on for a month now. During the offseason there was a serious debate about giving Sale an extension. And in all honesty I was for it but I had my concerns. But I figured the problems would come at the end of the contract. I never thought we'd be seeng trouble at the outset. The thing is great as Sale can be he has a tendency to break down at the end of the season. Sale is similar to Pedro in that they're rather skinny for power pitchers and they have trouble holding up for a whole season. Pedro eventually learned to be an effective pitcher without having to go all out in every start. It remains to be seen if Sale can do that. You're right that Sale isn't the only problem the Red Sox have right now. There are a number of guys underperforming. But your ace is supposed to carry you through those rough patches. Instead the Sox are 0-6 in his starts. And April is just about done. It's no longer "still early."

He's def in the phase of having to rely on being effective with his pitches as opposed to blowing people away. The team as a whole needs to figure shit out but yeah it starts with Sale who is the Ace and at least supposed to keep the team at pace

Who told the Twins they could be good this year? A few people
I said already don't sleep on the Twins because the Central is weak this year and Twins added some good pieces to their offense
