Gleyber is your shortstop of the future. This also frees up room to move DJ to 2nd base full time. Yea, most likely Yankees give Gio every chance to show last year wasn't a fluke That means 1B comes down to Voit and a returning Andujar who should be learning first because he damn sure can't play 3rd Honestly, as much as Giancarlo is hurt he's not a bad OF but they can't keep him as a permanent DH, move him to 1st as you still have surplus of OF coming

How did Davey Martinez not get nominated for manager of the year? Same way that neither a National nor a Astro won a Golden Glove.

AL Rookie - Alvarez. Guy was fantastic the entire regular season.
NL Rookie - Alonso. I don't even think it's a fair contest here. He broke Judge's rookie home run record in a park not known for giving up a lot of homers (for the home team anyway) even with a juiced ball. He was also a solid hitter and all-around player. Good head on his shoulders, too.
AL Manager - Boone. Yeah, homer bias and all. But the guy had an all-star team on the Injured List throughout the season. And in spite of all that, he managed to get a 100+ win season and was 2 games away from the World Series with guys like Gio Urshela and Mike Tauchmann taking turns as everyday players. He also had to manage a depleted pitching staff and play the bullpen shuffle. Success through adversity.
NL Manager - Shildt. I don't think the Cardinals were expected to compete this year and they ended up winning the Division. That said, I know postseason bias and all, but the Davey Martinez should really be nominated and he'd be my vote. The turnaround the Nats had the second half of the season was incredible.
AL Cy Young - Cole. This is just a formality. Most of his stats are better than the other two and he never lost a regular season game after May. That's absurd.
NL Cy Young - Ryu. I think recency bias will give deGrom some votes since he finished the season stronger, but Ryu was lights out for most of the season.
AL MVP - Bregman. Guy ascended to superstardom this year and was a big part of why the Astros were so good. Plus I'm tired of Trout being in the mix every year.
NL MVP - Bellinger. The offensive driver on a team with the best record in baseball. Though Rendon definitely gets some props since he wasn't even an all-star.

I see you don't want to give the World Series Chsmps anything......okay.

Other than saying Martinez would've been my vote for manager of the year if he was nominated (and he should've been nominated), yes. But then postseason doesn't factor into things and the Nationals weren't the most impressive regular season team. Of the Nats nominated (all two of them), I thought there were better individuals in their categories.

Rendon was an all star. He just passed on playing.

Did the Giants poach a winner for their GM (Scott Harris), Cubs fans? Well, not a Cubs fan but he was one of those inside guys who has risen from the bottom and was looked at in circles a future GM One of those hires where dude was getting groomed and the inside baseball world knew he was on the rise to eventually get to this point Somewhat like Farhan Zaidi himself who came up through the Oakland ranks before getting hired to be the GM of the Dodgers so this comes across like two guys with similar mindsets who should potentially gel in a hurry
