Screw this, let's do an opener. Chad Green would have done a much better job, is that so much to ask, can we do an opener?
All of a sudden this Yankee offense suck, you making this bum look like Cy Young. This is unacceptable crap. And it is probably because they are pressing because their starter suck and Cashmen is too cheep to do anything about it.

They can't due to Nester Cortes being the go to after Green opens but they need Nester on stand by due to not knowing what the pitching staff is going to do Add on Chapman being shakey as well at the end of games I only miss Girardi due to how he handled the pitching staff and in 2 years Boone has not been able to get that same production

Only losing 5 to 0 a vast vast vast vast vast improvement from yesterdays game. Why the Yankees have switched to suck all the ass in the world mode is beyond me.

I might have posed this question in the past, but why the f*** does Larry Rothschild still have a job?
You would think a pitching coach would diagnose an issue with a pitching staff, especially when every f***ing starting pitcher has given up 7 runs or more for an entire week.

Man, Yankees can't lose an occasional few games here and there can they? Try being a fan of the crosstown team or 3/4 of the rest of the league before you declare doomsday

It's like watching an entirely different team. Where are the Yankees that battled back to beat the twins with a diving catch? This looks like the summer little league team learning the ropes.

So... are the Giants somehow legit?

If I am Boome, I would start Chad Green, try to get a scoreless inning or two out of him, and than bring in CC, this also gives the offense 2 or 3 innings to get some run support before you bring in CC. Sometimes you have to do unconventional stuff here.

This series win is HUGE for the Red Sox. I can't see them winning the division unless the Yankees suffer a historic collaspe but it's still important not only in the Wildcard race but for themselves. They needed to prove that they can compete with and beat the cream of the crop like the Yankees. Not only can it help build thier confidence but being so close to the trading deadline it may convince the front office to invest in the team once more and maybe FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET A CLOSER!
Still the Sox can't rest on thier laurels. Too many times this season the Sox take a big step forward only to take two steps back. They can't follow this by dropping 2 out of 3 to Tampa. They must keep going forward.

Steve Matz is throwing a 1 hit shutout against the Pirates through 5. But because Mets...so is Trevor Williams

ah, the annual late summer too little too late push for the Mets is a foot! You know, where they play somewhat play decent ball in August and September to finish somewhere around 78 or 79 Wins, making it seem that things are seemingly better than they really are, leading to ill advised "win now" offseason moves.

Steven Matz with the Maddux! Great to see a quality start from him.

Just got home from the Mets game. Great to see Matz pitch so well.
I finally caught a ball at a game tonight, too! J.D. Davis tossed one in our direction between innings. I watched it all the way into my hand and I was still in disbelief when my fingers wrapped around it. So cool!

Not to mention 30 games over .500 with and 8.0 game lead in the division. Wouldn't exactly go out and use the word pathetic, unless you are one of those, "reverse jinx" fans lol. I've been there.

My final analysis of what the Giants should do is;
-Selectively sell. If the offer is right take it.
-Don’t sell just to sell. If teams are low-balling, don’t help them out.
-Absolutely DO NOT BUY. The farm is actually on track to respectability again, don’t cut it’s legs out for another rehash of Carlos Beltran / Mike Leake / Matt Moore...

Mets apparently talked to the Diamondbacks about Robbie Ray and I currently have no idea what they are doing now.
