On the upswing at least I got to watch baseball this far into October.
I think it's time I switch back to rooting for the METS, There is a sense of calm consistency knowing they won't put on a circus act in the playoffs.

Sevy has calmed down but the Yanks have to get hits with RISP
Need at least 90=100 pitches from Sevy just in case tomorrow game doesn't get rained out

Anyone who puts this on Boone has no idea what they're talking about. He's done as good a job in doing the things he can actually affect. It's not like he can yell at the hitters into stopping their collective slumps.

The only thing I did not like was Boone going to the BP way too fast in Game 1 He's decided to come into the playoffs in general and lay real heavily on the BP for better or worse

Didi and Gary just look real lost at the plate To be fair, Cole's done that to a lot of players.

Cole has done his job for sure, Yanks aren't just getting timely hits I do think Didi has played himself out of NY tho, as with the emergence of Torres, they will put him at SS and let DJ play 2B full time

With 2 outs in the 4th, the Yankees are showing the plate discipline they should have been showing in the 1st.

Yanks are “getting” to Cole per se but just not getting that key hit
7 men left on base is leaving opportunities on the field

Looks like there's a delay because the Home Plate Umpire got hurt.

It's not like he can yell at the hitters into stopping their collective slumps. Agreed, but I don’t see the logic in hitting Torres fifth instead of third. When DJ and Judge got on in the first, he wouldn’t been a tougher out than the slump-ridden EE and Gardner. Catching some ‘18 flashbacks with all of these missed opportunities. While Cole might not go 8, these chances are slipping away.

Looks like there's a delay because the Home Plate Umpire got hurt. Dude's taken 2 pretty good shots in 4 innings, it's not surprising that he's out of the game.

Yeah, Didi got his pitch, he got all of it, it just died a few feet short.

Well the pitch count is up at least, so the Astros bullpen going to have to get some big outs. And these are stressful pitches, if he was having 1-2-3 inning, that would be a different story. He probably not go too much past 100.
Screw you Ottoveno you stink, if we ever see him again, it will be too soon.

Now I’ve got to take Boone to task.
You replace Green who was fine, with Kahnle who was fine, to replace with Ottavino who has been utterly useless the entire postseason. Now isn’t the time to see if a guy can find it again.
