Also the Japan port's gonna have special accessories to purchase so you can make it look like the ol' Sega tower.

With the final list now out, if this doesn't confirm what a pain in the ass the Sonic 3 & Knuckles music problem must be, nothing will.

Light Crusader and Kid Chameleon are garbage. We should have got MUSHA and Slap Fight MD instead.

I was personally hoping for Crusader of Centy, but knew that was too good to be true

I'm a little miffed that Japan gets a Langrisser and we don't even get the English port of the original.
Yet another classic collection with Altered Beast is annoying too, that game is ass and only gets included on these things for being an early bundled-in game.

Makes sense that we wouldn't get it, though. We didn't get Target Earth either, so no NCS/Masaya stuff for us. The company that owns the rights to the NCS/Masaya IPs ("Extreme Co.") doesn't have any Western presence to license those titles for Sega Europe (who is handling the international version).

The Tetris thing is actually rather interesting, that version is actually extremely rare due to licensing issues.
Though I'm mostly just annoyed that they don't have Bio-Hazard Battle.

Oh, sweet. Eternal Champions. There's an IP that's long been neglected.

I'm really hyped for this, way more than I thought. Kudos to Sega and M2 for not going with every single game already in the compilations.
Bummed over the exclusion of Sonic 3 and/or Knuckles but kinda figured that would be the case with the (rumored) ongoing Jackson family stuff. Thankfully the games made an appearance on the awesome PS3 Sonic Genesis Collection which is still worth playing.
All I want is one of those 6-button controllers and I'm good to go. Can't believe I'm saying this, but good on Sega. This seems like a worthwhile investment.
EDIT: Not a huge fan of the Genesis version of Virtua Fighter but I can understand its inclusion. At least they balanced that out with Eternal Champions and SFII: Champion Edition.

First reaction videos are starting to appear on YouTube. General consensus seems to be very positive.
One neat aspect is if you change the system's language to Japanese, it'll switch to the Japanese version of each game as well, including the features unique to those versions.

Sweet, that means we can play the easy version of Contra Hard Corps. Also, just wait until the unsuspecting people play the Japanese version of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

I think I'm going to need this: I was one of the lucky kids who managed to get a SNES and a Genesis back in grade school (only generation I've ever had more than one console for...hell, my only non-Nintendo home console), and I've still got both systems set up, but my Genesis collection was largely based around Sonic, wrestling games, Disney games (do have World of Illusion, though!), and sports games, with a few other gems tossed in here and there. That means that I ended up getting more of my action/adventure fix from my SNES, so I grew up missing out on Gunstar Heroes and similar titles, and while I've gotten to try a few of them out over the years on things like the Virtual Console, this would be more convenient.

Playing a few of the games. The Sonic 2 port is miles better than the one on the Genesis collection on Switch. Tetris is also a pretty fun port.
