I'm hoping for Inoki's MMA obsession and meltdown during the 00s I’d really like to see this too. The only one I remember them doing primarily outside of the US was Dino Bravo. It would be great for variety and could really interesting.

Is there enough meat on the bone for Pillman?
I don’t think he developed any really serious issues until the Hummer crash and that was on what would be the back 9 of his career.
Unless they concentrate on his surgeries as a child and making football teams through sheer will but I think WWE handled those well enough in their DVD.
I mean, I’ll watch but it feels like a wasted episode when there’s topics that haven’t been covered.

I think one part of the Pillman episode would be his loose cannon gimmick when he convinced Bishoff to fire him to continue the gimmick.
So we have early life, flying brian, Hollywood blondes, loose cannon(WCW,ECW,WWF) his accident, the gun angle, Hart foundation, his death.
Plenty for an hour episode.

Heck, IIRC the family's broken up over the years since - I think Brian Jr and Melanie's relationship has collapsed - so I'm sure his insight there is one the safe/clean WWE perspective couldn't or wouldn't touch.

Finally got round to seeing the Dino Bravo episode.
What a sad end and I feel for his poor wife and daughter.
It was obvious Dino liked the lavish lifestyle wrestling afforded him.
I don't understand why he took the route he did to provide for his family when his WWF contract ended and thought it was over in the business. Could he not have gone to WCW, or Japan?
I'm sure he would have been a good fit for the Hart Foundation in 1997.
Sounds like his relation to Cotroni family influenced his decisions.

Neither had any interest in him plus the organized crime illegal cigarette racket earns a lot. If Dino was gonna move up and deal coke, he was gonna earn a lot. He just crossed the wrong crime family

Also, for any of my fellow Canadians, Crave finally has the Confidential episodes up after a slight delay.

They have bits with Conrad Thompson interviewing the producers going into the commercials. It adds about 30 minutes to the run time, at least on Vice.

Wasn't expecting an episode on Ultimate Warrior but they have a lot to cover. Should be very interesting.

Didn't somebody report that they would be covering XPW this season too? Not exactly a big fan of theirs but the overall story is interesting.
I also have to mention, once again that I feel like they could strike gold doing a show that revolves around the race to replace WCW and ECW in regards to the promotions like WWA, XWF and the like in 2001 and 2002. Idk how much they could get out of it but I've been dying for someone to do a documentary about that time in professional wrestling. It has always intrigued me.

One of the few times I can tolerate Cornette is when he is interviewed for these things. Dude's incredibly toxic when it comes to modern day wrestling but his mind when it comes to documenting the past isn't rivaled by many human beings.

He’s got a point about trying a Happy Side Of The Ring. I say they should do a Funny Side Of The Ring. If only we could make something like that, maybe a website dedicated to the funny stuff. Or even the crappy stuff in wrestling. Hmm....
