I would rather have more Corbin. At least, as far as we know, Baron Corbin has never posted white supremacist propaganda on bodybuilding sites. Which is kinda funny, since Corbin's aesthetic basically screams "skinhead".

I don't really hold guys not getting over in NXT as a death sentence given NXT and the WWE are so different in terms of crowds and how they book people. Oh, absolutely, don’t disagree there. My issue is that they have the means and methods of making these people seem like a bigger deal and working more with developmental to make that work. They have a network they need to promote and get people to watch so why not make NXT seem like the biggest deal, get people invested in the people being called up and make them think they’re missing out on the next big star if they don’t watch from ground level. The fact of the matter, for me, is that NXT and Main Roster audiences aren’t that different since they both have to get the WWE Network to watch the PPVs. You just need to bridge the gap more.

In reference to his bodybuilding forum posts, I think it’s clearly obvious he was trolling and looking for a reaction. For... 6 years? I'm not willing to give the benefit of the doubt there.

In reference to his bodybuilding forum posts, I think it’s clearly obvious he was trolling and looking for a reaction. Eleven years ago that may have flown but we have the benefit of hindsight to tell us that a lot of the internet's ironic racism a few years before he made those posts wasn't actually too ironic in reality. When he's talking about politicians supporting illegal immigration to buy fraudulent votes and breeding rates of non-white people, that's not the kind of shit you say to get a rise out of someone. Hell, in 2012/13 when a lot of these posts were made, we're talking about a time before this information was even widely circulated in mainstream fields and before a flood of people on Youtube making careers out of that scaremongering. To get those kinds of details you needed to be immersed in this world. This isn't the kind of "ha ha I love fried chicken, guess I must be black" shit that tripped up other people before, this is pretty explicity white supremacist propaganda.

Keep in mind also that “I was just joking” is often a response people with hateful rhetoric use to shield themselves from criticism.

At this point the only reason I hope he doesn't come back is because any more content with him would spoil the absolute perfection that was him dropping away from his debut with an anxiety attack, only for people to unearth this post of his: That was a beautiful and magical day, and I want nothing to spoil it ever Honestly, this made me sympathize a bit for him. That kind of hypocritical self-loathing speaks to some awfully bad psychological issues.

Yeah, it was pretty detailed. But we’re on the internet and it’s not hard to gather up all that information and use it for trolling purposes. Whether he means it or not... the fact remains that he did it for attention. Cause even if you were racist, bodybuilding is the last forum you’d go to, to express those views. He wanted a rise out of people and I don’t know the man personally but his anxiety issues could mean he hadn’t got a massive social life growing up and this was his way of communicating with the world and trying to get attention. Either way, not a cool thing to say. But it doesn’t stop me from enjoying his work and wanting to see him pushed. There’s some actors that I enjoy that have said and done some pretty f***ed up shit too. But it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the characters they portray. I think it’s important to realize that these posts were a LONG time ago. I mean 2012/2013 doesn’t feel that long ago but when you think about it, it was 6/7 years ago. A LOT can happen during that time and people’s views and behavior changes.

His shaved head hairstyle is the result of people constantly moaning about his hair. To call him out on his hairstyle is really not fair.

Wow, if that's actually a legit posting of him this is f***ing beautiful karma. LOL! Please be real!

To call him out on his hairstyle is really not fair. I wasn't calling him out. I was just saying that he's a white guy with a shaved head, full sleeve tattoos, and before he became RAW GM, he dressed in leather vests and ripped jeans. If he went back to his old look, he'd look like the picture perfect stereotype of a skinhead.

A LOT can happen during that time and people’s views and behavior changes. I've never been on that forum myself, but every forum has off-topic sections and has places where someone can say something incendiary and bonkers. f***, even with FAN's no politics rule--something not everywhere has--I have been able to gleam some pretty out there shit around here. Yes, people want attention, but sometimes people are also just shitty and they want attention for their shittiness. Racists do love attention and telling everyone about that kind of shit. But again if we're talking about venue, there's no reason video games should be the f***ing battlefield for social issues either, and yet it f***ing is, because people filled video game communities with noxious bullshit for years. The whole of the internet is a flaming garbage pile that's just how it is. And it's fine you can like him, nobody is demanding you be angry about this, but brushing it off and justifying it is going beyond your own personal willingness to look past.
