Yea, Owens is nowhere near dead in the water He has match ups but obviously with this being Mania season, he's got to wait until after to get the ball rolling
Owens/Joe at Summerslam or some shit is def something I would want to see. Hell, assuming Sami is ready to come back you always have the option of putting them as a team too
Owens has a line of guys before he's dead in the water and besides this is nowhere near as bad as what he was doing last year. Owens/Andrade too? Man he's good. Yea, Owens as a face has just started and has so much room to maneuver in way before he is dead
As a heel he was beyond stale but i'm just enjoying the little stuff with him as a face. The way he said nope f** this and left when AJ and Orton was throwing their barbs each other was like an oh shit moment even KO already knows what's about to go down and he won't be in the middle of it

Sweet gig too. He keeps himself onscreen, doesn't need to wrestle all the time, gets a big check. Others dream of that. |

He returned at the worst possible time, which was in the middle of “Kofimania” and right before it reached the heights in which they couldn’t deny it.
Personally, I wish they would have pivoted after the Fastlane match and returned him to doing “The Face of America” gimmick, but with a face twist on it so he could have faced Samoa Joe at “Wrestlemania 35”
However, considering, he hasn’t been announced for the “Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal” and he was “supposedly” penciled in to face Daniel Bryan before his return, I expect for him to either cost Kingston the match, be added to it by Mr. McMahon at the last minute or right after Kofi’s entrance for Vince to come out and announce an impromptu, “if you can beat this next person” between him and Kofi Kingston.
I just can’t see him not being involved with “Wrestlemania” in some compacity.

I feel like KO's getting the belt sooner rather than later. Partially as a make-good for losing his planned shot, partially since I don't see Kofi having the belt for too long, partially since I expect Lashley to jump to SmackDown and they have unfinished business, and partially since he seems to be getting the treatment Joe got the last two years where he's being left off Mania entirely to avoid just get tossed in the battle royal.

Owens is a victim of a much more over different angle just coming up out of nowhere. They should have kept him off TV until after Mania so he could come back hot into something, because babyfaces go cold way easier than heels, especially when he's never been face in the company outside of half a match five years ago.

It's baffling that WWE would even consider putting Owens in a WM world title match given that he was last seen on Raw being thrown in a port-a-potty by Strowman and being destroyed every week. Owens is one of those guys to me that is scorched earth. It bewildered me that they signed him to some lucrative new deal given that their own booking of him last year made it virtually impossible to ever draw money with him.

He’ll be fine. They had a plan for him for Mania, Kofi happened, so they put him in a holding pattern until after Mania. They aren’t jobbing him out or anything, they clearly have plans for him down the road.
