Thanks for watching! Six more Fridays to go for season 4. Then a very special new season of A Very Special Episode One Beer episode of Tiny Toons? Wasn't there an episode of Captain Planet about drugs?

Hi, guys! I'm the writer/narrator of these videos. I've found your threads before googling to see who's posting new episodes and wanted to say thanks so much for the continued support on ZMIT and AVSE! Means a lot. Hope you enjoy the rest of season 4! Someone kind of addressed it in one of the earlier comments, but fun fact not a lot of folks have picked up on y'all might appreciate: This season is the Screech season. Let his sad, sad tears wash your soul clean. Thank you for tearing this blonde sociopath a new asshole every week.

One Beer episode of Tiny Toons? Wasn't there an episode of Captain Planet about drugs? Yep. And someone DIED in it. With BLOOD. But enough of that. There's the AIDS episode, too.

Anyone would be justified in being a little upset at what a terrible person Zack is to his "friends" and humanity in general (within the context of the show). And Zack is supposed to be the "cool" guy (!).

The episode where Zack urges Screech to keep going after Lisa (after everyone else tells him to give up), only for Zack to hook up with Lisa like 10 minutes later is basically the definition of a Zack Morris move. Glad that one is coming soon.

Glad that one is coming soon. Think those were two different episodes. The first half you describe was the one with the dance contest, no?

Is it a bit over the top to say you're one of my heroes? ;-) Love both series immensely, and so do my friends. Any plans or thoughts about doing the Kristy Barnes episode (the girl wrestler)? Has LOTS of classic ZMIT elements. Since, as you said, this is the Screech season, I doubt it's coming up just yet. But...ooooh, wonder if a certain other episode where Zack takes his buddy's lifelong dream away is to come? (And Zack and Lisa's romance was never heard from again, because....you know the rest.) Over on AVSE, I know it's mainly about sitcoms, but any chance that you'd be interested in doing episodes of animated series? LOTS to be mined there, IMO. hey thanks so much! i really appreciate that! the wrestler episode is definitely in the pile, but won't be in season 4. the other one you mentioned (SPOILER ALERT) will! and i would love to add some animated episodes to AVSE- i know there's the cartoon all-stars drugs special that would be fun to tackle. i'm always open to any and all suggestions! comments on youtube are how i found some of my favorite special episode. Cool, on all counts. Just made a memoriam to all the people Zack drove to suicide. It's on my Facebook page (same name as here...I'm the guy now carrying the Who Killed The Fonz? audio book) Feel free to lift the image if you get there. Consensus seems that Captain Planet has lots of VSE's. The infamous beer episode of Tiny Toon Adventures too. There was an Animaniacs episode when Slappy Squirrel got put in a senior home cause she went crazy.

Another potential VSE for cartoons:
When G.I. Joe and Cobra team up against a drug lord. (C.O.P.S. did the same exact plot...well, both shows were done by DiC at the time)

It's like Blossom. Every other episode at least was VS. But some VSEs are more special than others.

Glad that one is coming soon. Think those were two different episodes. The first half you describe was the one with the dance contest, no? I'm watching it now and, yeah Zack does encourage Screech to keep pursuing Lisa. And it's more like 6 minutes later Zack and Lisa are kissing. I'm actually going to argue this episode is a lesser example of ZMIT. Zack is very encouraging to both Screech and Lisa, as ill fated as the former ends up being. But he encourages Lisa to make a fashion show to help better her college prospects, which is also one of the more selfless things Zack ever does on the show. Zack even goes to bat for Screech so he can do the commentary for the show when Lisa doesn't want him to. Lisa has made it clear she is not interested in Screech, who really is an aggressive stalker and is a lot more problematic in the Me Too Era. Lisa even makes it clear when telling Jessie and Kelly that Zack wasn't picking up on her and the kiss just happened. Screech then acts like a jerk the whole show acting like a jilted lover when he and Lisa were never together. He then tries to sabotage Lisa's show. Zack finds Screech and does not try and weasel his way out of it trying to talk to Screech straight and make it right. Zack is even willing to not go out with Lisa to make Screech happy forcing Lisa to step in and tell Screech that they are not and ever were an item. Screech also ends the episode by forcibly kissing Jessie which is, again, problematic. I think the episode that better highlights Zack screwing over Screech's love life was when he pesters Screech to tutor Kelly leading to Screech and Kelly liking each other and Zack and Slater try and torpedo it.

If this series has taught me anything, it's that Zack's toxic influence over Screech has caused the latter to adopt some of the more troubling facets of Zack's personality. Perhaps this is what's causing Zack's more reasonable nature in this episode... while Screech has siphoned enough of Zack's terrible attitude, Zack is taking some of Screech's more respectful nature.

He used to be a slightly-quirky genius (Remember, he built a sentient robot!) and by the last season of SBTB and into The College Years he became Gilligan.

I think my dream Very Special Episode is the Golden Girls where Rose buys a gun. I would love to see one on the two parter of All in the Family where Archie joins the KKK. That whole season had so many VSE's.
