I’ve noticed this on the last few panels Sam has been on, especially last night where the panel were mentioning the whole “Hunter has been holding Batista down” stuff, specifically the satellite interview Cole did with Batista, and Sam said “Well the thing with that interview is that Triple H is talking to Cole in the headset and telling Cole what to say”.
The panel really didn’t have any real answer for that, and I was sitting there thinking “Well, Sam isn’t gonna be on these Kick Off panels much longer”. It was funny when Cole replied to that with “Well Sam Roberts can say whatever he wants”

I think Sam does quite a good job of saying what many smart fans are thinking while saying it in a way that could fit within kayfabe. I think he does a nice job overall.

I know little of Sam Roberts except that Edge thinks he looks like Dean Ambrose got stuck in the dryer with Krusty the Clown's wig.

Wow he said that? Yikes, yeah Sam's going to be done with these pretty soon especially with Michael Cole there. Cole's got a lot of pull backstage these days. He's not having that. You can't bring up Triple H.

He got roundly humiliated by the Iiconics, and repeatedly dissed by Adam Cole on the Watchalong. Bianca Belair pretty much admitted to not liking him as well, and then Liv Morgan challenged him on what he thought of Bianca's performance. It might all be jokes, but if it is, the joke is that no one f***ing likes Sam Roberts.

I like Roberts. He's brutally and hilariously honest while staying within the lines of kayfabe.
It's funny how palpable the disdain for him is from his co-panelists.

Yeah after he said it the panel kinda went quiet for a few seconds & tried to steer the conversation back to Triple H holding Batista down and how Batista was wrong for thinking it.

There’s no way that that wasn’t a line from either Vince or Triple H that they had just fed Edge to say. But whatever, I doubt Sam Roberts minds. Anyone who's listened to his show with Jim Norton (or Opie and Anthony for that matter) knows that he’s been called way worse, and that those sort of remarks are just another day at the office for him.

Sam Roberts does whatever he wants and everyone just cowers in fear of his mighty manliness.
Sam rolled into Mania an hour late yesterday wearing a fur coat, and he pimp smacked Drew McIntyre just to assert his dominance.
Drew changed in the unisex bathroom and Sam said that was still more than he deserved.

I said it in the live Wrestlemania thread but I’d be happy if he never showed up again. I don’t know if the Bianca comments were a turning point for him (because it got him a lot of attention) but he seems to have gotten worse since then.
The panels shouldn’t be all sunshine and roses and everyone agreeing with one another, but he seems overly disagreeable and it just doesn’t work for me. Really I think the panels need a little more rehearsal to really live up to their potential; it’s a performance at the end of the day.
He’s just...I don’t see what he adds. I’ve seen some of his interviews outside of WWE and they’re fine, but he’s not particularly charismatic, he’s not funny, he’s not very interesting...I just don’t see why I should care about what he has to say.

I get the sense no one in any position of power gives any kind of a shit about the preshows or Roberts probably would've been dropped a LONG time ago.

Roberts makes comments that make him sound like one of us.
Then everyone shits on him constantly during the panels.
I'm not offended by it, I found it hilarious in many ways, but partially in a depressing way simply because they still have this weird contempt for the people who pay money for their product.

Not sure if what he did added anything. Pipe bombs they were not.
Still more tolerable than Peter Rosenberg though.

He says he does this kind of thing (like the Bianca comments) on purpose cos he's meant to be an "outsider" who isn't actually employed by WWE so he's there to say alternative, controversial things instead of towing the company line.
