WWE is like Saved by the Bell. Bright colors, good looking people, and no continuity or long term storytelling. I almost feel bad for the person who gets this job. Zack Morris Is Poopy.

I love how stories making sense in WWE is such an afterthought. Damn this job will be super high stress. Everyone will be barking at you and arguing every time you say something. That’s what I was thinking. This position will be the easiest scapegoat whenever anything is perceived to go wrong. I doubt anyone holds the position for longer than 6 months.

They want ONE person to do all that? It looks to be at least five fulltime positions.

I love how stories making sense in WWE is such an afterthought. Damn this job will be super high stress. Everyone will be barking at you and arguing every time you say something. and then Vince would ignore you and do what he wants anyway. this is always the biggest issue, you can fight to keep continiuity but damnit VINCE WANTS ROMAN REIGNS TO HUG TRIPLE H.SO MAKE IT HAPPEN

I don't think there should be a mega strict continuity with these things but more about characters and what'd they do in situations.
Like, what made Stone Cold such a money draw wasn't just because he was someone of the era but was also relatable to those people. Everyone hates their boss so Austin was a proxy, dude had a Don't Trust Anyone ethos but when he teamed with people, it was for a goal he had in the long term i.e. the WWE title, his career at Survivor Series 2003 etc. His boss wanted him on his side and when that didn't work out, he wanted to crush him. That's what made Austin/McMahon so hot as a feud.
Bayley's story arc in NXT was one of the most underrated stories in NXT. She was the jobber for a long time, losing to everyone especially Alexa Bliss (who was a rival of hers briefly before their main roster feuds). Then when she earned title matches, she was gradually getting more confident but was still coming out the losing end. When Sasha basically said she wasn't worthy and was a joke, that was when Bayley awakened fully and went on a tear, beating all the people who she lost to, Becky, Charlotte and especially Bliss to earn a shot at Sasha, who still looked down on her. But Bayley wasn't going to stand for it, showing more aggression and wasn't going to be the meek fan favourite anymore. Thus, NXT Takeover Brooklyn.
Now compare that to Bayley of the main roster, she's all over the place. Sometimes she's "I don't want to fight" Bayley, sometimes she's "I'm fed up/love you Sasha" Bayley. Sometimes, just like Monday, she tries to cheat for no real explained in canon reason. Why care about someone whose supposed to be a face and acts like that unprovoked?
Pro Wrestling is one of the best opportunities in media to craft characters people love and combine it with athleticism that puts over who they are as people. If things happen just to happen and character motivation is all over the place, who can care about anything?

well if he wasn't busy being mayor Kane seemed to be a good hand at remembering continuity.

Taking this kind of job would be like taking a job cleaning out porta-potties. You're just gonna catch shit all day long.
