But in WWE, Mcintyre has been randomly been paired with:
-Ziggler -Strowman -Corbin -Lashley -Ceasaro -Sheamus -Cody Rhodes -Health Slater -Jinder Mahal
Not of these pairings were ever explained and all random. No one is going to succeed if you put this little story development into their characters.
Watch out world, if you are a random heel, Mcintyre WILL be paired with you and it will never be explained why

Drew McIntyre, the Scottish sociopathic monster who just happens to be on friendly terms with half the roster...

Was he? I liked his chosen one run back in his first spell with the company, but ever since then he's bored me spectacularly.
Heel he's a big intimidating dude physically but doesn't exude any real menace.
Babyface he sounds like every new promotion in the mid 90s bringing wrestling back to its roots.

He's prime big fish in small pond material, but the Claymore's a poor finisher, and he only fleetingly has had flashes of personality.

According to this group (well, some), Lashley went from boring face in WWE to super entertaining in TNA then back to boring face and boring heel in WWE again.

He's a far better face than a heel, maybe Vince thinks his accent makes him a natural heel "I'm not from round here ect ect".

I don't get it. He looks awesome, his entrance music is awesome, he had a menacing entrance...then the bell rings.

He has the size. He has the look. He’s decent in the ring... not brilliant but enough that you could probably see a good match every now and then.
So why don’t I give a shit about him?
I’ll say this. McIntyre is too boring. He has a generic Scottish theme. A generic black trunks look. Nothing about him screams “pay attention to me”
It sounds stereotypical but if he was around in the 1990s, he would have a Braveheart gimmick. He would come to the ring with face paint and a sword and he would be immortalized forever. In 5 years, if he gets released again... who’ll remember? He needs something that stands out. Half of this roster does.

Even I'm getting sick of me saying this now, but he's indicative of a fundamental problem in wrestling right now. Lack of gmimick. What is Drew? A big Scottish dude. That's it. He's not Ricochet or Bryan so he's not blowing people away with his work (solid-good as he can be) so there's no hook for him. If he had something, ANYTHING that defined him as a character or at the very least an angle with a story that mattered or gave him something to aim at it would makeep a big difference. As it is he's just angry muscular dude doing moves.

I'm not a big fan, but I will say that the WWE's brand of 'grr, I'm a menacing, serious heel with no personality' really isn't helping him.

People were screaming for him to come back to the WWE which kinda confused me because I didn’t see his work elsewhere so I was assuming that he got better on the Indies. His first night in NXT I got even more confused because people were saying ‘Look how great he got while he was gone’ and I saw literally no difference. Still don’t.

They call all these guys up but give you no reason to care about them and no defining traits.

They seem deadset on him being a heel even if it’s by association. If he keeps the same character as a lone wolf there is a good chance the fans end up cheering him, which they seem to be against.

Drew McIntyre, the Scottish sociopathic monster who just happens to be on friendly terms with half the roster... As long as you’re a heel.

They need to have Vince play Principal Skinner and have Drew play Groundskeeper Willie.
