Being blunt, there's not a whole lot on this card that is appealing to me. I get its a charity show but their leaving out guys like Private Party, Best Friends, Jungle Boy, The Joshi and others. Nothing has been announced by AEW that I've seen, but DDT and Shoko Nakajima confirmed she will be at the show, so there's at least one Japanese woman on the show, as well as the first appearance of Bea Priestley who is now a top woman in Japan.

I will give the benefit of the doubt.
They know The Librarians arent connecting and both are great works from what I hear.So should be a good match

AEW really needs to stop piling the preshow with comedy. I feel like their offerings on that front are very poorly conveying what to expect out of the company compared to what the main shows have actually been like. True. On the other hand, if they decide they're gonna keep doing the comedy stuff, I figure the free pre-show is the best place for it. That way, no one is feeling like they're paying for comedy matches they didn't want to see, because it's on the free part of the show. They're not paying for those matches at all.

Avalon is a much better wrestler than Leva, and Sony is also said to be solid in the ring.
Match seems very predictable though, Leva will probably cost Avalon the match.

And it’s not like that’s all these pre shows have. DoN had the Casino Battle Royale and Sabian/Guevara, Fyter Fest had the coming out party for...Private Party and this will have what’ll be a fun 6 man tag with some story implications for future shows.

Yeah, no major problem with the pre-show stuff. I think the comedy ran long at Fyter Fest, but I still think it makes sense to relegate some of that stuff to the pre-show.

I think the criticism for AEW's pre-shows being higher than other companies' pre-shows make sense. AEW is a new company trying to make first impressions, and that's where those impressions are going to be formed, so it makes sense that they should be treating that time as a bit more valuable than a WWE Kickoff show.
Though, it's not unheard of for WWE to have MotNs, or even MotYCs on their Kickoffs either, even if that probably shouldn't be the case.

I saw a post from one of the Bucks announcing the Sonny Kiss vs Peter Avalon match for the pre-show and most of the commenters were noooooot happy. The Librarians gimmick is pretty universally hated it seems. Which is a bummer, because I love Pretty Peter Avalon.

The BTE intro bit with the Bucks talking about how we're going to get way more of the Librarians is a tongue-in-cheek way of acknowledging that the gimmick isn't working as is. And while I like Leva personally, she's probably best suited as a manager for Peter since she isn't that good a wrestler compared to other women on the roster.

In a move that probably suggests she's showing up around the TV run, Sadie Gibbs obtained her US visa yesterday.

I was waiting for these posts when I saw that announcement yesterday. Sonny Kiss vs. Peter Avalon on the preshow confirms these people don't take a hint. Again, the preshow is supposed to convey to the new viewer (especially in a new company) what they can expect for the rest of the evening. Under no circumstances should you do stuff that might alienate or turn off a viewer on a friggin PRESHOW. Just do the 6 man tag and run down the rest of the card.

So here’s where I defend the pre show stuff because on the one hand I get the argument that it’s a way to get new people into the product and that it should showcase what your promotion is but I think a key thing to this and Fyter Fest is basically, the show’s free already for Americans.
This is a better opportunity than most to showcase talent lower in the card then you probably will on the regular big shows where it’s just the big name talent potentially, even on the Buy In stuff. And you never know, if Kiss gets more over, you’ll see him more on TV and on the main shows.
Like, if they do this stuff repeatedly for All Out and beyond then I get it but for DoN, it was pretty much the Battle Royale for the title shot and Sabian/Guevara which were the two right matches to showcase more talent and make AEW stand out a bit more in diverse range of matches.

There was a BTE Mailbag question a bit ago to Matt about whether the show will continue when TV starts and he wasn’t sure. As much as I hope it isn’t the end and it’d add more depth to characters outside of TV, I can imagine it’d be hell to try and do both at the same time so it makes sense to start wrapping that stuff up.

In the interview I posted he goes more in depht ,he says it is hard to write for AEW and BTE at same time ,he he isnt completely sure but ask rhetorically "but how could it end?" meaning they really want to keep going. They say maybe they will use wrestler that arent much in the show in BTE,maybe it will go back to be a travel log with jokes, but they will see.

Surprised this wasn’t mentioned;
New match just added!
Dark Order vs. Angelico/Jack Evans vs. A Boy and his Dinosaur with the winners taking on Best Friends at All In for the first round buy.
With that, they’ll probably announce the last women’s match tomorrow since they seem to still be confirming them.

Dark Order really needs to put a breakout performance this Saturday, because so far they are not much different from the "Viking Experience".

they finally announced Bea Priestley. She appeared on some of the graphics for the show, but today is (I think) the first time they officially announced her. They still have not announced Shoko Nakajima. Not that she has a big name (she doesn't), but if she's going to be on your show, why not promote it and maybe incorporate a short feature on her on one of their youtube shows?
