Man, there is no character I want to see less on TV in 2019 than Archie Bunker and AITF is one of my favorite shows ever.
Can't wait to spend the next year reading people online missing the point that he's kind of a moron and supposed to be wrong almost all of the time.

Nowadays I see Archie Bunker on TV every time I turn on the News. The act isn't as funny as it used to be.

I hope this does work, because I'd love to see a one night Golden Girls kind of deal.

I know the GIF is from Good Times, but it was a spin-off of the Jeffersons Spin off of Maude, actually.....but that's ok since Maude was a spin off of AitF. Misread as "spinoff of ALF".

I’m sure this will work, because they’ll chose the tamest, least offensive scenes or episodes to do. Could be interesting, could be lame as hell if they try and sugarcoat the shows.

I just want to see Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei singing Those Were the Days. I'll be good after that.

Well yeah....either: A) He'll be a watered down version. B) They'll make him a card carrying villain, more or less. C) They're true to the original scripts and fall victim to PC police. I see it as a no-win situation.

Very few people fall prey to the "PC police" if they're a moron properly portrayed as a moron. There's a reason you don't hear that much whining about Cartman or Jay from the Kevin smith flicks

Big fan of both shows and I don't think I'll watch this.
People don't seem to care about history, so I don't know why ABC and Kimmell think this will bring in a young audience.
I'm curious as to what episodes they will do-controversial ones I would think and I'm not sure how many will take them out of context(the 1970s)

This is a terrible idea, IMO. I just can't see any way how it could even be a new form of good (it can't even approach the originals).

The AITF one should have some of the original cast appear. Not as their characters mind you, just as "guest stars". I could see Reiner or Struthers doing it.

No, but I remember that show on TBS that was movie scenes but with monkeys.
