Here’s a thought. Book the winner to look good after winning instead of having them lose a ton because their eventual title win “resets” their credibility (it usually doesn’t, btw). Common sense stuff, really I'm probably wrong, but is Rob Van Dam the only MiTB winner to not look like a goof before cashing it in?

I really am not a fan of Money in the Bank anymore. I don’t like the gimmick and it has a dubious track record of making stars. They should keep the ladder matches and the winners win literal Money in the Bank. Like a savings bond or something. And they get to keep the briefcase too to carry all of the official papers regarding their new savings bond. Here’s a thought. Book the winner to look good after winning instead of having them lose a ton because their eventual title win “resets” their credibility (it usually doesn’t, btw). Common sense stuff, really I think it needs to be a mix of these.
An example if Seth Rollins. Prior to that match he broke up the Shield, was winning and cheating all the time and him winning the briefcase made sense given Kane helped him. It made sense from a story perspective. After that match Rollins kept doing his thing except he used the briefcase a bit more. Wrestlers these days can do the same thing, we always do need a surprise win and even if we do get one who's to say you can't make that winner look dope in the process?

It needs a serious retooling. Since it’s just a fancy #1 contenders match, you can switch the match type up. You don’t need the briefcase prop. Let the guys or gals cross brands.
Also use it to push a guy on the cusp over, not prop up a guy no one cares about.

If they're committed to using it to turn someone into a star, I feel like Drew McIntyre is the route to go as both Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens are already made stars, that don't need it and won't get over any more than they actually are, but McIntyre needs something to establish himself as a legit main eventer.
As for the female side of the equation, and considering it's still a new concept among them and for the foreseeable future every cash-in will likely result in a title change. I think Ruby Riott and Amber Moon would be excellent choices to win, I could even see them giving it to Bayley as a way to reestablish her or to a returning Sasha Banks to appease her.

I mean, shouldn't there at least be some degree of actual overness involved to begin with before getting the briefcase? It probably wouldn't do a damn thing to help McIntyre get over because he's been beating down the Shield every week for months and basically gotten one over on every top person on Raw except Lesnar, yet he still comes out to complete crickets. They couldn't be doing much more to make him look strong than they already do and it's still accomplishing jack shit.

The best choice for the men’s side is Big E.
Imagine all the storytelling they could do to evolve New Day with that twist.

I don't know how they feel like they'd blown Alexa's cash in. The whole point of it was to get the title to Rousey and put her over strong - goal accomplished. Well, this is specifically referring to the men's matches anyway. But... It was just completely pointless. They could have just had Alexa take the belt from Nia and then lose it to Ronda without any shenanigans, especially given Alexa beat Nia in between the cash-in and losing it to Ronda anyway. It was essentially them needlessly folding the storyline into Money in the Bank since they didn't have anyone else in mind to win it. Well they also didnt want to bother with mitb+rousey as champ most likely.

Finally Dana Brooke and EC3 get their due. The guy is a top 1% who could have just payed someone to fight Braun for him last week, instead he takes his beating like a regular athlete.Someone of his athleticism and high moral charecter won't want to win the championship via a shortcut method like MITB.

I'd like to see MITB just vanish for a few years to be honest. It's played out.

I want Aleister Black to win the men's MITB, just so I can see him do his full entrance every time he tries to cash in.

I really dread Drew getting the briefcase. Why? Because he's been playing the "show up to spoil the main event" gimmick for a couple months and it's already dull as dishwater. The WWE would be doubling down on dullness. AKA pulling a Baron Corbin.
Which means of course Drew will win and they will wonder why ratings hit the shitter

It was essentially them needlessly folding the storyline into Money in the Bank since they didn't have anyone else in mind to win it. I think it was fine for what it was. It put off Ronda getting the belt quite yet while giving her a title shot while not having Nia duck her, and it also had Nia get screwed over since yeah, at the time she was still a face they were trying to protect some. It also took Alexa, whose heel act was long in the tooth by then already, and gave her one last burst of heat.

Gonna guess Drew Mcintyre and Ember Moon. I hope Ember wins this year, she was the star of last year's match IMO.

I'd like to see MITB just vanish for a few years to be honest. It's played out. They should just have someone use it very straightforward. "Hey, I'm getting the match this next PPV, here's my stipulation of choice", like RVD did. Better yet, do it quickly so that we don't have the briefcase hanging over every title match between the briefcase coming into play and it being cashed in, since that so often sucks out any kind of tension. That's probably as close to what you want that is feasibly going to happen, it's too ingrained to just King of the Ring and not do without any kind of kayfabe reasoning.

I like how everyone in this thread who's mentioned Drew are dreading him getting the briefcase.
